In this video, we derive Newton's Law of Cooling and use it to determine how fast a bottle of water cools when it is placed inside of a refrigerator by solving a first order differential equation problem.
We are given that the bottle of water is a room temperature of 25C when placed into a fridge kept at 3C. We are also given that after half an hour (30mins) the water temperature has dropped by 10C.
We want to find out
a) What the temperature is at 1 hour
b) How long it takes to reach a temperature of 4C
