All the rules are on the paper only. Top officers of IRDAI are from the Health Insurance companies and after the their retirement they are absorbed in IRDAI, as told by an advocate. One Insurance company, after the completion of policy period paid only the sum of premium paid by the policy holder and refused to pay 'No Claim Benefit' as per the terms as mentioned in the policy certificate. When approached to IRDAI, IRDAI replied in writing that IRDAI will not entertain complaints from the individuals. Now, the case is in Consumer Forum since 2 and half years. Even the Consumer Forum is dragging the final hearing by giving dates and dates. It looks as if the Consumer Forum is also supporting the insurance companies.

ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಸವಿವರವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಅರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಮೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ. ಇದು ಇಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಅವಶ್ಯಕವಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಾಸಾಭಾವ ತುಂಬಾ ಇದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಬದಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ವಿಮೆ ಹೊಂದುವುದು ತುಂಬಾ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ್ದು. ಇದನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಕಮ್ಮಿ. ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಸಿಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಜೀವ ಎರಡನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜನ ಬದಲಾಗದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ದೇಶ ಬದಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ವಿಮೆ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಒಳಿತಿಗೆ ಹೊರತು ಕಂಪನಿಯ ಲಾಭಕ್ಕೆ ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿರುತ್ತೆ.
