9:10 The build I use is Alternate Timeline, Breastplate of Valor, Glad Shield, Oni’s, Soul Reaver, and Stone of Binding. You get a lot of prots and mitigation, and you proc glad and soul reaver with all of your huge AOE abilities and binding will help you and the team do some more damage. Timeline just works well for Cthulhu IMO because I usually am able to live off of it procing

Man I really wish I could peep the world where you took Erosion over Void Doumaru for this match. I feel like with Pers having played pretty suboptimally and Void Doumaru not affecting your Heim, the passive may not have been doing as much as intended/predicted. Ofc, Void Doumaru also has 20% CCR that may have been doing a lot, but the speed from Erosion may have really helped stick to their DPS's, especially Tia who kept slipping away. This felt like a big prioritisation diff. Heim and Pers were so tunnel visioned on Geb, and that hurt the late game fights so badly. Thana was putting in work with the execute. EDIT: Maybe Stone of Binding would have done more over Void Doumaru?

hey mast, im the current nr 3 cthulhu in joust, and ive figured out a build for him im really happy with. you start conduit into prophetic, then go either glad or contagion depending on antiheal, gaia, genjis and then finish up with a binding or soul reaver(or spectral if you need it, midguard). the glad shield procs in his ult go nuts as does the gaia value. also, if you get 3 points in his 2 it full clears a wave. so i tend to get those points in first.

Try Xing Tian solo with this build, works fantastically against most teams I've faced. Conduit/gem of focus > mystical > genjis > glad shield > abyssal stone > spirit robe. Swap the genjis with the mystical if against a magic solo. Max cdr, max ccr, lots of health and prots, some mits from spirit robe, anti-cdr from the abyssal and plenty of damage and utility from everything.

9:10 I skipped to the end to see what you ended up building, and without having watched your video yet, I'd maybe have gone with Stone of Binding instead of Oni's in that comp. Maybe Midgardians instead of Mystical if their Jungler wasn't slow immune and it had more use against the enemy comp. I feel like Cthulhu builds are pretty straight forward because you need prots so badly on him, and he can't make use of Pridwin so it kind of forces Breastplate for CDR etc. Later you mentioned running Cerb though, Pridwin + Staff of Myraddin 100-0's in 1 combo mindlessly. Add your pick of: Void Doumaru, Mystical, Binding, Midgardians, Prophetic, and you're a monster.

Midgard and Bewitched Dagger go so hard on Cthulhu because his 1 reduces attack speed. That and it reduces damage to him from the target. He can be really anti-adc with the right damage reduction builds.

Not my original build just the Cthulu on my team I’d Morrigan ult into, then we double cthulu body the enemy team; Sundering Axe, Tablet of Destiny, Breadtplate Of Determination, Prophetic Cloak, Pestilence, and Spirit Robe. Don’t think it’s amazing, but seeing my solo build Tablet first thinking it’s throwing, but letting him cook to the point where just two cthulus in sync luring the enemy team swung the game back into our favor has forever made this my favorite build for him.

this is why you buy Erosion when you see any champion with annoying shields. I think it was a huge bad call to try Void when you needed Erosion here. Doesn't help that your team can't seem to kill anyone besides Ymir. Really don't understand what Heim was building. He should have changed items after a while. Might be because you were so big in the team fights but I never noticed Peresphone ult, which definitely should have been some good game changing moments. I noticed her ult down but never where she shot it.
