Meander smells creamy-earthy to me, I really struggle to pick up on the incense aspects. Zefiro definitely has a more evident incense. I haven't smelled Scuro, but have heard people compare it to Search from Amouage. I remember liking Encens Suave, haven't revisited in more than a year though. I haven't smelled any Jazeels, but The Palace fits into a more traditional chypre role than an incense one. Loved the video and the editing though.

Do you guys have a recommendation on how to learn to recognize specific notes? Are there like oil sets for this? I would really like to train my nose more. Some notes are so easy to recognize, like vanilla and rose, but others like oudh, myrrh, frankincence, ambers and such, are so much harder to pick out, because I don't have a reference to the original smell.

Awesome question Thomas. I once asked Meo Fusciuni the same question and he shared that it's best to spend time with the actual raw ingredient and smell it over time to lock it into your brain....however not as easy for a someone like me to execute. What I did though, is moderate this advise and see perfume brands that love to explore the 'singularity' of a raw ingredient (like Perris Monte Carlo, but there are many others) and now take my time to smell these perfumes. You'll be impressed how your brain will now link these scents to actual notes in other perfumes. Good luck mate! 💫
