@@kidprime6863 The global economic crisis that happened in 2008. Think of an economic recession kind of like a "mini Great Depression." A lot of people lost their jobs and/or had very little money due to complicated world events at the time and this impacted a lot of markets, toys being one of them. With this in mind, and also considering the fact that the story line had gone on for so long and couldn't really attract new fans as well, Bionicle sales fell and LEGO didn't see the potential to keep it around for much longer.

@Higgs Bonbon I completely agree, it WAS an incredible waste of potential on LEGO's part. But you have to remember that LEGO's main goal was simply to sell toys. They had no inclination to see things any other way. Bionicle was not their sole progeny, so once it started to show signs of decline, they simply put an end to it and moved on to focusing on and producing "more profitable" lines. They had no need to take risks anymore and try to continue the Bionicle franchise. Many franchises see highs and lows, but those that stick around and generate new fans even after decades of having a continuing existence are *usually* the main works of whatever company, studio, or author is creating it. Unfortunately, Bionicle couldn't get that same sort of unconditional love from LEGO; it simply wasn't and isn't their philosophy anymore. I'm almost certain they just saw Bionicle's end as a "necessary action" that was "just business."

I'm trying to make sense of the whole story.... Damn it... I get that some legends occur on different worlds and at different times and are connected by certain events but... I want clarity, I've got confusions about the different legend that occur on the different Isands on Aqua Magna, about the different legends that occur on bars Magna and the different legends that occurred on boots magna... In a timeline form. Timeline form and how each are connected would help A TON please. FOR EXAMPLE: When the fight against Makuta on Metro Nui which is an island city home therefore I assume on Aqua Magna was done, leading to the fall of the Visorak afterwards and then Matoran and Toa exodus to another Island on Aqua Magna called Mata Nui Island happens. I understand that the To a of Metro Nui.... Who were allowed to exist by the efforts of To a Lihkan whom I still don't get where HE comes from, anyways those To a become Turaga, I get it, but when they become Turaga by using all their power to awaken the sleeping Matoran on Mata Nui's beach shores.... That's were a matoran is given Lihkan's mask and the chronicler Takua shows up.... But in the saga the Turaga says the chronicler, who might as well represent the audience, first met Takua somewhere and gave him his mask and staff.... So where the heck did the Chronicler come from? YES He was found, AKA the eventual Mask of Light Takanuva but that part of the connection between Metro Nui and Mata Nui confuses me: Did the Chronicler come with the rest of his matoran buddies from Metro Nui on the exodus or did something else happen that led to him meeting Turaga Vakama not on the beach when the matoran were awakened..... Essentially in terms of Timeline form and connection, there's a connection error between Metro Nui and Mata Nui islands via the origins of the Chronicler. In the movie he's in the crowed of Matoran as everybody is awakened by the Metru Nui Toa turned Turaga.... I hate plot holes and I think I found one in the origins of the chronicler that connect the two islands.

Well there were many Toa before everyone. Like the toa order. If you read the novels. You will know that some events are at the same time as mata nui discovers other worlds. I think that the Events of Metro Nui are the last events before the crash. Too bad that the Bionicle reboot isnt as good as the older gen.

Hold on this doesn't makes sense if the 6 toa warriors that were inside Mata Nui were Tahu, Lewa, Kopaka...etc... What about Toa Lihkan, he is technicaly the first Toa, because he gave those toa stones to Vakama, Nokama and those other Metru Nui Matoran and then they turned into Toa and then turagas and then Tahu, Lewa, Gali... etc. fell from the sky. Please explain.

I believe that the first Toa Team was Lesovikks team, then I think the Mata were created long before Lhikan on Arthaka and trained until they were put into canisters to wait until they were needed again.

The six Toa canisters that were placed in Matai Nui were the Toa/Nui who crashed on Matai Nui island after the Toa Metru became Turaga.

There were many Toa before Lhikan, for a start Nidhiki and Tuyet were Toa at around the same time as him (part of the Toa Mangai, some of my favourite bits of story centre around those guys) Dume was a Toa before Lhikan and is suspected to be the one who gave him his power, the Toa Hagah (Norik etc.) were assigned to support the Brotherhood of Makuta while they were still (visibly) good and were already experienced elite Toa by that point, Jovan's team went to Voya Nui before it was an Island to save Mata Nui's life after the Matoran Civil War in Metru Nui, Lesovikk was a member of the first toa team, the Toa Mata (Tahu etc.) were created before him but they were only awakened afterwards, Orde was pretty early too, Helryx was the first Toa and is a total badass. The only known Toa that I can think of created after Lhikan were the Toa Metru (Vakama etc.) Takanuva, the Inika (Jaller etc.) and probably Krakua. There are a bunch I missed out on, but as far as I know their origins aren't established because they're minor characters. Also it's known that there have been many Toa and Toa teams who we never encounter in the story, particularly in the Toa/Dark Hunter War, during which the Toa Mangai were joined by hundreds of other Toa brought in from other lands. Some extra info: The earliest Toa like Helryx and Orde were created by the Great Beings themselves, the Toa Mata were created by Artakha, but pretty much all other Toa started off as matoran like the Toa Metru.

Somwthing i realized yesterday was that the glatorian mata nui set should have still had a toa metru style skull instead of the glatorian head and helmet version of the MASK of life. Would've been more faithful to accuracy and the preestablished canon, since the mask of life was only capable of making bodies for itself based off those which it had already seen/beheld. And when the mask created mata nui's body, it still had not yet seen or even catalogued the glatorian species, and the last form it took as the toa ignika would've been closer to how the final set should've looked.

Because in Bionicle, collision physics are different. They don't always completely destroy things, they sort of smash and merge together. Seems weird, I know, but it's really cool in a way. And you might say, "well what about the others?" Either everyone from certain areas moved from the collision course, or it just simply didn't harm them at all.

Teridax was freed as soon as the blast hit her, and he teleported her to safety the second he became able to use his powers (combined elemental blasts create/destroy protodermis cages -- they don't vaporise people). Greg Young There were comics and books, but they’ve since gone out of print. I believe you can find used copies/online scans, though. Also, look up the Mata Nui Online Game animations. A lot of the early groundwork (particularly Takua’s early character arc) are shown there.

Better the legend of Mata Nui remains with us as a legend we will tell for many more eons ahead. For I fear how a modern remake of it would tarnish its majesty and weight. So even now as my kin are slowly growing up in this world I tell them of the legend of the Bionicle and the legends yet to come.

First a better fight between Mata Nui and Teridax, with swords and shields. Second, changing the look of the robots; Teridax should look more evil and Mata Nui more like the good guy. Third, all the bionicles should unite their energies and give them to Mata-Nui so he could get a special sword, power, etc. in order to make the final attack on his foe. I think those ideas and many more could give bionicle the end it deserves.
