Let's start with the fact that the entire album "100 dni do matury" is an album that was created within one hundred days. It was written from prom to the last moments before the author's final exams, i.e. Mata. This album commemorates the history and emotions that accompanied him and his friends during their carefree education. The very text of the song "Patointeligencja" says a lot about the album and the author himself. It presents the life of the author and his colleagues during their education. Although it is said that most, or at least some of them are just lyrical fiction of the author, it is definitely worth focusing on individual lines and trying to understand them, because the whole text is a scream of young people. and it shows us this world well - it actually lets us in so that we can feel it from within. Pathointelligence is actually a neologism, probably invented by the author himself or someone in his circle. This word is an amalgamation of two other words: pathology (but we are not talking about the medical field), but social pathology, the word meaning any dysfunction in society. The second component of the word Patointeligence is intelligence - the ability to understand, learn and use one's knowledge and skills in various situations. How can two words be combined at all? We associate pathology with the poorest, usually inebriated and unflattering activities in society. Intelligence, on the other hand, is associated with people from these good homes, well-born, rich, well-groomed and polite. Does it have to be this way? Mata proves us in his article that it does not have to be the case that "kids from good homes" or, as they are sometimes called "banana trees", can also be pathological. In his article, Mata shows us that pathology is not the result of poverty or bad origins. It shows us very clearly that the topic of drugs and alcohol is also a topic that affects young people from good homes, sometimes on a larger scale than in the case of the poor, because the richer simply can afford it. Mata shows us and her viewers an example of what the life of young people is like in these good homes and shows that it is not as rosy and polite as it might seem.

I might add that the second part of "patointeligencja" (so the "inteligencja" part) might not only mean intelligence, but also the "intelligentsia" (I guess that is the correct english term, but I'm not sure it is commonly known). "Inteligencja (intelligentsia)" can mean the group of people (or social class) that are highly educated, presumed to be the brightest minds of our society. You would put lawyers, doctors (medicine), people working on universities, artists etc. in that group. Of course going by the stereotype you would assume that the members of such group would work hard in the school, lead exemplary life, being total opposite of the "social pathology" group.

The clip begins in front of the Batory High School, one of the best and most prestigious schools in Poland In the clip, they have sweaters and sweatshirts with the school's logo (Batory). This school is Polish Harvard or Oxford only at high school level. There, students pass an international high school diploma and then study at the best universities in the world. Mata with his friends from the clip, he studied there a few months before the clip was released, he passed his high school diploma. Rich kids from Warsaw study at this school Mata shows us that in this school there is pathology like everywhere, children from good homes rebel too and can do anything Drugs, sex, gambling, alcohol, fast cars. These kids have a lot of money. This school has over 100 years of history, the greatest music stars, actors, politicians, writers, Nobel Prize winners, outstanding scientists and doctors, Polish heroes of the Second World War and others have studied at this school.

To understand this lyrics well it is crucial to know that this is not an autobiography 1:1. The pain he expresses is the pain about how our society looks like today and what is going on. He points the problems he sees around him. Partially this is what “Patoreakcja” is about. He says there that he loves his parents and many people from teachers to tv stations did not understand “Patointeligencja”.

Mata is already a graduate of one of the most outstanding schools in Warsaw, namely the Second General Secondary School with Bilingual Branches. Stefan Batory. Son of Marcin Matczak, a Polish legal advisor, habilitated doctor of legal sciences, specialist in legal theory, associate professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw and Arletta Śliwińska-Matczak - co-teacher of the English language school. So, in a word, in youth slang, Banan - he says so about himself. He wrote a piece that was intended to show him and his schoolmates life during their education. It is said that the text is only a literary fiction and that the events described in the text have never happened (among others, the school management says that this is putting their school in a bad light and that there is certainly no such pathology in their school. ) although even if it is just an invention, it does not mean that it could not have happened in this type of school or with the participation of the same boys from good homes.

The title itself is a juxtaposition of two semantically opposite words - "pato" from the word pathology, which defines a juxtaposition of certain behaviors characteristic and attributed to people from lower social groups. The second part - "intelligence", in turn refers to the higher social strata. Most often, this term is used for people whose primary source of income is mental work - nowadays, this term includes people whose work requires higher education. With this piece, Mata shows that origin is not always a determinant of behavior. He notices that, being a person from a "good home", he experienced pathological behavior, and his friends can behave in a way that is completely inconsistent with the title "intelligence", and would rather ascribe this set of behaviors to "pathology" Pathointeligencja "is a piece which, by juxtaposing two opposing worlds, tries to show that not only unprivileged social groups may display specific (socially unacceptable) behaviors, but often it is" intelligence "that behaves in an unacceptable way
