I'm in the UK with a US (Florida) based LLC. Yesterday I finally (after many weeks of back and forth with the IRS - you really do have to keep bugging them.) got my EIN number and was able to open a business bank account with Mercury using my registered agent address and my UK home address. No issues opening the account this way and it literally got approved in minutes. Just to see if I could, I tried the same information with Relay and it wouldn't let me use the registered agent address with a UK home address, it wanted a US residential address. As I have the Mercury account I will leave it at that but thought I would share me recent experience.

@@markllewhellin4571 Yes, but depending on the address you have. Mercury might not accept, some of them are flagged. James has a video on that were he uses a tool called Smarty to check if the address is good

As a non-resident multi-member LLC (B2B SaaS) registered in Delaware or Wyoming, we want to use a Virtual Mailing / Business Address of another state, only to display on the website, with no physical presence or office activity there, e.g. California or Atlanta (sales are within the economic nexus threshold). In the case of TruLease physical business address, is it considered a fixed place of business in the US and would be subject to taxes for Foreign owned LLC even if the business it self is conducted outside the US?

I used a registered agent to open an LLC in Wyoming recently. I am a non-US citizen but now that Relay does not accept Registered agent address, I am planning to try Mercury because I have a Shopify Store and already got EIN. I am listening to your videos but can you clarify how I can get my aunt in the US to give me proof of address? Would she need to put my name on a bill or something else?

I am personally frustrated with all this proof of address stuff. It is really frustrating when you have to move quickly or often or trying to reestablish yourself in a different region in the country. A physical address is in all practically a fiction. When many people move they live of of their cars for a time. Post offices need to add identity verification as a service. Then you mail an address verification check to see if people actually can receive mail. If something needs greater security then they can require you to verify your identity at a local post office along with the verification letter. And why wouldn't verification at a bank be legitimate? Show your real face and take scanned fingerprints in person.. or a retnal scan.. And other stuff. In person!!!
