Season 2 is definitely where they hit their stride. However you can also see how burned out they started becoming if you were watching back when they first did this series. The fact that one episode took almost a year to come out says everything you need to know. Lol

Actual dragonball z Gohan is super smart and just like abridged, Chi-Chi still nags him and forces him to study all the time. Chi-Chi's character is VERY accurate to the real show. Our new villian is also responsible for terrifying every young DBZ fan back in the day.

Gohan is only super smart because when Goku and other adults didn't force him to train, Chi-Chi made sure he hit the books because she wanted more for her son than just being a strong, uneducated bumpkin who can't function in society, like Goku.

Loved how you two were cracking up at Krillin ripping on the Bulma-Trunks situation. And one thing that gets lost in the epic introduction to this new character (as you'll learn more about in the next episode) I always applaud TFS for the respect they give Kami in his on-screen farewell. It's like a final battle for a longstanding warrior that we've known since the days of Dragon Ball before Z had begun.

Yes, Gohan is brilliant. Aside from being a stuntman because why not, various parts of the Super canon also show him as an assistant professor, and a biologist, specifically an entomologist (one that studies bugs. Which is ironic because of how many weird bug enemies he has faced, namely Cell)

So you might be asking yourself why aren't 17 and 18 just killing everyone like they do in the other time line. I really believe it is because of the inclusion of 16. He seems to add a more of a family dynamic to the pair that they really needed. He gave them a goal and adventure. 17 and 18 are siblings so if they were just left by themselves they would probably get into a fight, use their powers to blow things up out of anger, and I say that is how the whole world geneocide would have probably started.

Next you should watch the 6th movie (The Return of Cooler) and the History of Trunks. Then you could watch a couple of episodes before watching the 7th movie (Super Android 13). The 8th movie (Broly) should be watched right after episode 55. Once you're done with DBZA, Hellsing Ultimate Abridged also from Team Four Star should be your next Abridged series. Dark humor at it's best and (the Great) Takahata101 (who voices Cell) is amazing as Alucard.

This is for peope that want to understand Piccolo's relationship with Kami a little better. Ok, So the Piccolo we know is actually called Piccolo Jr. Kami is the good half of King Piccolo or Piccolo' Jr's father, kinda. King Piccolo and Kami were once apart of the same being that was literally called the "Nameless Namekian". He Purged the evil from his spirit and it gave birth to Both Kami, the good half, and King Piccolo the evil half. When Kid Goku defeated King Piccolo, with his dying breath he spit out an egg that eventually hatched into Piccolo Jr or the Piccolo we know. He was supposed to be the legacy of King Piccolo but being Goku's eternal rival as well as a mentor and friend to Gohan, Goku's son, changed him and eventually, similar to Vegeta, he became fully good due to their influence. Basically, when Piccolo was saying that he was a jerk in the past, he's not referring to himself but to the original King Piccolo.

MOST pigs wont eat anything. Theyre generally more intelligent than dogs. But if they are starving or mistreated, things change. Pigs are naturally omnivorous though, like humans. So if things get weird, so do they.
