You're making the mistake of thinking that a pursuer would only be present in a situation in which they've been invited in. Michi was not interacting with this guy and was approached. By your logic, they shouldn't have even been in the bar because the potential of a confrontation with a drunk person. Yes, if you de-escalate a situation do so, but being able to physically defend yourself or others plays a part in that. I am a physically imposing guy to most people and have unfortunately been called on to use that to intervene on the behalf of others.

But it is possible to lower the odds of being in a situation in which you're vulnerable or where a fight would break out. HOWEVER, (almost) every drunk person chose to start drinking when they were sober, and unless it's your first time drinking, you know how you get when you're drunk, so it's still your fault. It's like claiming you lost control of your car because you were going too fast. Like, OK, who was pushing on the throttle to get to that point? Basically, disagreeing that drunkenness reveals your 'true' personality, but absolutely agreeing that it is NOT an excuse for terrible behaviour (With the caveat of 'unless someone spiked your drink', because then being drunk/uninhibited ACTUALLY isn't your fault)
