If it is the F40 that ended in a ditch, it is already on its way to Maranello for repair. It crashed when being driven by a mechanic, on its way to an M.O.T. I was told that by a very well connected man in the insurance industry.

I would keep a dehumidifier in that Rolls-Royce 24/7 until the condensate hose stopped dripping, which would most likely take weeks. You may believe it is dry and professionally cleaned, but there will be a lot of hidden moisture that could cause future gremlins, things to seize, electronic problems, mold in the summer, and so on.

The irony of this video today. Here in NC USA (big fan, been subscriber for years, love your content). My daughters windshield wipers stopped working in the rain yesterday VW Golf. I was so worried wiper motor went out, broken wire ect... Go online, can't find anything specific. Go to owners manual which says fuse F31 is wiper fuse. There is no bloody F31 slot even, not to mention a fuse. Go back online VW threads, guy with same problem 2 years ago says check fuse F19 labeled in owners manual as radio fuse, pulling it his radio still worked, fuse was blown. Replacing it his wipers started working. I checked fuse F19 sure enough, blown, as he stated, radio still worked. Put a new 20A fuse in and wipers worked...... Very relived less than $.99 fix. Mat you are a legend and inspire so many of us to have a go at fixing our own cars verses a mechanic shop or dealership.

Mat you have air lock on the urus, should have in the diagnostic under basic settings or adaptations option to put the pump in the bleeding mode that should help, engines with these type of pumps are known to be nightmare to get the air out of the system. Or you can try to put vacuum directly on the pump vith hand vacuum pump that should be easier. I hope this will help you if you read i have service in my country and we deal daily with these kind of problems especialy when we change the timing belt.

..and the smoke going out of the tail pipe?
@SIMONHOLFORDСағат бұрын
On the Urus as you've got coolant coming out the exhaust, that means coolant is getting into the combustion chamber. That mixing can't happen from the water pump not running. It has to be head gasket, warped head / block or cracked block. Although overheating from a water pump issue or lack of coolant can warp the head / block causing the head gasket and or head to fail.
@KireVeljanovski20 минут бұрын
@@SIMONHOLFORD that could be just condensation at best scenario, worst scenario could be cracked egr cooler or cylinder head gasket or cracked cylinder head or even engine block. But it can be determined from the smell of the smoke if its coolant or just condensation from ehxaust.

Sennas steering rack snapped on impact the crash happened due to the tyre pressure dropping allowing the car to skid on it's belly at high speed. The laps before were crucial to this as it allowed the tyres to cool and pressures drop.
@davetreanor53033 сағат бұрын
The data implied the steering was working but Newey admitted it would have snapped at some point in the future due to poor modifications. The flex on the column in the last lap was crazy and also the fact that Senna set the third fastest lap of the race on lap 6 would suggest the tyres were up to temp and pressure. One thing I think is important to point out is that Newey had nothing to do with the modification as that would have been Patrick Heads department. From memory Geoff Willis and Ian Fisher did the actual steering column cut and weld

If you do end up replacing the water pump this can be done without taking the engine out but the metal seal ring that sits behind it is a nightmare to replace as this has to be pushed into the block square on, not enough room to tap it in.

For auctions, it is quite common that people will blindely bid and the person with the highest bid gets the car for the amount of the second highest bid. It does seem unfair at first, but it still prevents you from bidding millions, since you never know what the others will do. Also, since you would only bid alone, it would be stupid to pay more than the second highest bid, since you would only compete with yourself.

My Porsche 991.2 had a similar problem with a vacuum operated water pump and it was eventually tracked to coolant being in the vacuum valve lines that found its way back to the valve block and created an intermittent fault, where you suddenly lost cooling, the gauge went through the roof but no heat came out of the heater vents. In other words totally random faults but the good news was that even though the car thought it was overheating, there was in fact coolant circulating. Good luck finding and replacing the valve block and the vacuum tubes!
