Match Fishing 01/06/2024 | Tunnel Barn Farm | Club Pool

If on the first 4hrs had been as good.....
I liked the look of the peg first things, the wind was blowing down my way and I was sure I would catch but after 20mins or so I started to wonder. It was clearly going to be tricky as I could see no one catching after the first hour, just the gentleman opposite me catching a few fish shallow on caster to the reeds. But this was an edge day so I was going to stick with it :)
3hrs in and I'm wondering if I would break 20lb but I know there are quite a lot of carp at Tunnel so it was time to make some changes and big pot all over the place - always a good option I feel when nothing else is working and time is running out. Suffice to say they have come in the edges and in numbers so it was a case of catch while they they were there and I fished really well catching just over 50lb on the day.
Only a few changes if I had my time again - a rig to fish under my casters for sure - this could have caught me a further 20lb I believe and potting to my right short quicker might have seen me catch 1 or 2 more from that side which could have been a further 15lb
Good fun and I am starting to really enjoy fishing at Tunnel even if the 5g signal is letting me down - grrrr. Hopefully the stream will be back for the masters if not I will record it all for video's later and by then I will have remembered to put my new chest cam into wide mode so you can see what's going on a little better.
Edit 3/6/24 - The results are now online and I came 6th so happy with that and as I thought 73lb won it so not a lot in it really 73/71/65/61/57/55

Well done, me fished the same peg the sun before in a club match,first time at tb for me ,but checked it out and decided to leave me much loved rods at home, needed to practice with pole, caught 26 lb off F1 slapping at 9 metres with banded castor, the only carp were in front off platform to right, but no rods😤, and the only place i caught in last hr was in the last 20 mins i went in that little hole on the right next to keep nets,30 sec bites, the wind was blowing up to other end of pool, and i didnt garden, reckon that was you😁,,👍

No gardening to the right but I did clear the left a little 😀 Im sure I would have caught more if I had a rig set up to fish under my shallow line but I needed to practice fishing tight to the edge.
