In the days long before 24 hour TV, yes! I also remember when I was a kid waiting for the 'white dot' to disappear when the TV was turned off for the night! 'NOT YET, GRANDMA! I CAN'T GO TO BED UNTIL I WATCH THE DOT GO AWAY!' All that did was tick her off because I wasn't doing what had just told me to do.
