As a child in grade school back in the 70s, I can tell you that was ALOT of money back then. You could buy TWO brand new cars back then and still have plenty of money left over. It would be like winning $80,000 in 2017. Those were the days!

that was almost cruel what Charles Nelson Reilly did by prolonging the answer but extremely entertaining and very funny I'm really into these episodes I watch it almost every night Thanks for the Memories

@ajpecanic Thing is, they could have the current comedians, actors & such, but without the magic of Gene hosting, Johnny O announcing, and Brett, Charles, & Richard being regulars, I don't think a new version of the show would last. The 1990 version was probably the closest to the 70's version out of the three that were made, but due to a bad time slot, soap opera actors, & Ross Shaffer not being as good as Gene or original host Bert Convy, that's what did it in. Just enjoy the 70's.

Apparently this program was a remake of an extinct 1960's show that was much much tamer .

Having fun doesn't cause "brain shrinkage". However, NOT having fun will lead you to be an unbalanced person. Lighten up and just enjoy life.

Unusual for the time period, Brett openly hints at CNR's homosexuality, when he says "I was the hero" and Brett immediately answers "or the heroine, as the case may be." Charles was always one of my favorites, both on this and on Lidsville.

@@SuperC888 it was a kids show in the late 1960s/early 1970s that was…interesting to say the least. Lots of green screen special effects and goofy stories with over the top acting. I’ve been trying to find episodes around but haven’t yet. I was really young when it was on but have some fun memories of Charles flying around in a thing that looked like an upside down hat of some sort.
