Brett's never missed since she became a regular, but she wasn't a regular at first. Her husband did the very first show. He wouldn't do unless she could be on it, which is why I STILL don't get how Brett became a regular instead of Jack

What the heck was that at the end (21:30) when Gene generously praises Richard and Elaine, Bert and especially Brett all pile on? Richard was taking it in stride, but you could see it stung. And Brett: "I didn't think Midas Muffler was such a great answer." Oh, Brett. You're just not the arbiter of what's funny. It as clever, offbeat and unexpected, which is what made it a great answer.

I would love to know what they look like from the celebritys' angle. For example, the slots. Is it just a hole in the desk that goes to a trash can underneath? When they put the card in the sky to make it light up, what actually happens there? Is there a bell that is manually "dinged" or are they touching something with the card?

The whole thing was cheap. I don't think they expected the show to last and it almost didn't make. It was cancelled during the first 6 months of the shows run. Since they had nothing to lose they spiced up the questions and the show took off from there.

Richard said multiple times on MG that he was "a non-drinker." (His term, used pretty consistently.) I'd be interested to know what FF episode he said that on! I'd love to see / read that Fannie Flagg interview, too! I'm working on something and this content is relevant.
