H/H match update: ... ~~~Today's action: Our champion misses the obvious MG answer ("makes love") on his second question (which would have given him a 6-6 tie). He departs after having won one game and $600. *Today's (first) audience match question: "Hazel________"* (My thoughts: O'Leary, Eyes, ???) - I'm sure there was some classic actress they'd heard of back then that escapes me now. The celebs: Fannie (Flagg), Richard (Nut), Dick (-teen, then, from Brett, eyes) The choice: Eyes. Huh, when I heard "nut" I thought that sounded good... The answers: Bishop, Nut, Eyes - Kudos to Dick & Brett for coming up with the top answer in third position! I used to get excited when a new champion was about to make her first selection for a H/H partner, but now since everyone just chooses Richard, it's not much of a guessing game anymore! Even though she didn't take Richard's suggestion, I bet she'll pick him all the same... Uh-huh. This is now King Richard's 46th consecutive H/H attempt. (No other celeb has played a head-to-head question since Fannie in 1132.) He's only matched 5 of his past 17 attempts, but that hasn't cooled anyone's enthusiasm for choosing him. In this series of the 5 shows they taped in a day, at the end of each, when Gene is told that he has time to kill at the end, he keeps saying that he doesn't care and waves the camera off. I wonder if he was starting to get bored. He keeps having to repeat the same stuff over and over.
