I noticed in your first technique that your image size wasn't set to constrain the aspect ratio and your resized image looked a little skewed. Is it just me? Will this technique not work if the size ratio is constrained?

If client says, 2*3 size what's the size in Photoshop?
@donnadavid6123

Hi there:) Question, can this method (first 2) be used to compare actual sizes of say paintings? For example, I have one painting that I own, and I know it's exact dimensions (36x36"), but I want to compare it to another painting that is similar that I found online for details in the painting itself. Say that painting has a known size of 24x36" inches, but obviously has been uploaded at different image size/resolution. Can I use your method to resize one or both images so that they can be viewed at, roughly, the same "actual" size for comparing details? (For example, as an overlay to compare brushstroke or lines) I'm sorry if I can't explain it properly!

My photos from Cam Raw are 300 ppi. I would typically resize from 300 to 300. the first example both images were 72 ppi. What if one was 300 ppi and the other was 72?
@PhotoshopTrainingChannel
@PhotoshopTrainingChannel 7 жыл бұрын
Rod, That feature only changes pixel dimensions. So it keeps whatever resolution the image has. If you want to change resolution as well, then change it manually in the Image Size dialog box. But change the resolution FIRST, then do the Window > [file name] technique so that the pixel dimensions won't change after you set them.
