Whilst not belittling their achievement - you can only beat what's in front of you, and to be European champions is really something - it's still very noticeable that Forest, in the European Cup final, played, not Real Madrid, or Bayern Munich, or even Ajax, but....Malmo. Imagine that now!

yea but on the way to the final they beat the double european champions and league title winners(Elect) liverpool and the german champions cologne.

"Arguably, Liverpool's greatest ever team" as the commentary says. And little old Bristol City were one of the four that managed to beat them that season! It all went horribly wrong for us after that, though...

Everything was better then, absolutely everything. Even if you got cancer it was better cancer than now. Overpaid, pampered, what's wrong with leg-breaking tackles, men were men, the sky was brighter etc etc etc, blah blah blah, everything was better, better, better.

Nice to see footballers running out on the field without holding kids' hands and then the farcical hand shaking routine between players .

Wembley has always had a choppy turf, look at it for the 79 FA Cup Final

Dalglish, McDermott, Ray Kennedy and Souness too. How could you have them all in one team. It's so unfair it's unbelievable.
