There was a much better balance to the Magpies as Murphy came back into the team and Bruno and Tonali clicked properly for the first time. We ask whether this is a blueprint for the future now or if it was a one-off.
Mo Salah produced some magic to nudge Liverpool in front before super Schar nabbed the equaliser for Newcastle. We discuss what the draw and performance means in the context of the season and ask whether the Mags can back it up in the games before Christmas.

I genuinely feared the worst for us going into this game. So glad I was proven wrong. Isak was playing like a man possessed and with Bruno and Tonali finally clicking I hope we've turned a corner and move up the table and have a solid December and beyond. #HWTL

Amazing game for the neutral and a very good attacking performance from Newcastle. Big challenge now is can we back it up in the next three league games that we should be targeting for points 👊🏼

I can’t understand the ‘Howe Out’ faction. People have short memories. His work has been transformative. He improves players, understands the club, has the best work ethic and is the epitome of a modern elite manager. What he can’t do is ignore PSR or guarantee all players stay in form all the time.

I hope hope hope we can keep this level on a reasonably consistent basis. Injuries may of course play a part in this, which is why a few signings in January will be a big plus. Eddie Howe is a top manager/coach but he does need support from the owners. HWTL

Great game to watch but it raises more questions for me. It appears the players aren't responding to Howe and can only get up for big games. Woke up this morning and watched Brentford. It was like going back in time 3 years ago when we were a shambles. I get we haven't made new signings- but on the flip side we have a squad who should be playing combinations and know each other's games inside out. We look like strangers and there's a lack of leadership out there on the pitch. I hope Eddie can turn this around and get some consistency- it would be such a shame to see things end this way coming almost full circle back to the shambles he inherited. It's like the twilight zone this season 😢

I’m annoyed at the lack of additional time at the end of the game given how long we took to take our free kick within the allotted 5 extra minutes. Just our luck the ref blows for FT as we’ve got an overload in to their final third. Otherwise an excellent performance but how do we perform like this against teams that defend in numbers?
