I am ecstatic to announce that I matched at my #1 UPENN for Internal Medicine! I’m coming to Philly ❤️❤️🙏🏽
This moment was so special for me, yall. When I received my match envelope today, I handed it to my sister, who planned this match reveal. She is the one who got to open it first and find out where I was headed for residency, after which she ran to the car to set up the reveal. As you saw, she had surprise confetti cannons made with the mascot colors of my # 1 (RED) and # 2 (PURPLE) residency picks. So when I released my cannon, I saw the red and knew I was headed to Penn! ✨🙏🏽 I couldn’t believe it so I read the letter in the envelope to be sure 😂 I didn’t wear red for nothin ❤️😉 I want to thank my sister for being my rock, my support system, and my best friend.
As a first-generation college graduate and the first doctor in my family, this is life-changing.
I am honored. I am blessed. I am highly favored. I am grateful.
I want you all to know.. there is no dream too big.
