It's interesting. Often times we see these character specialists being talked about, whether it's Axe Pikachu, Amsa Yoshi, or Hbox Puff, but we have never ever seen a Falco who has stood the test of time like Mango even more so than these guys. To put it in perspective, Westballz was in the 7-10 range for several years and never broke through. Before him PP. More modern we had Ginger when he peaked, now Magi, but still no one like Mango. Truly inspirational that he always finds his way back to the top or at least contesting.

I think the difference is there's simply no one remotely at the level of HBox's Puff and there never will be. There's simply no one at the level of Amsa's Yoshi and there never will be. There's simply no one at the level of Axe's Pikachu and there likely never will be. Mango is undeniably at the top level of Falco. But PPMD? He was on the level; top five and higher. You can also see flashes of people now who could potentially hit those heights. It's like no one will ever play Peach like Armada, but it's not like every Fox player is chasing the ghost from Sweden. Spacies and Marth are too huge of characters with too wide of player bases to be unmatchable. But maybe I'm just waxing poetical. People probably thought M2k's Marth would never be topped, the wild frame data robot he was. Just takes one hyper accurate Puff/Yoshi/Pika to change the story, same with any character.
