I love it ❤ can't wait to make it today. I like olivem 1000 much better in cleansing products rather than leave on because of its soapiness
@OrganicAlchemist4 ай бұрын
Lovely, would love to know what you think of it☺I agree with you the soaping really put me off for a while but now I found a way to formulate it in a cream so that the soaping is much less. It's all about combining it with other ingredients that increase slip and now I'm in love with the skin feel Olivem 1000 provides 😍 Will post the formula on a brand new patreon page end of the month in case you're interested :)

@@OrganicAlchemist that would be great 🥰 I love olivem 1000 too it's very stable and moisturising plus it has a nice skin feel, I have just always found the process of reducing its soapiness very draining and felt like the main function of my ingredients is to reduce soapiness rather than serve their purpose in the product, for example anti-ageing etc. But again I haven't spent much time tweaking my formula, I'm sure you've come up with something, your formulations and videos are great 🌺

Can I replace polyglyceryl 4 oleate to tween 80?
@OrganicAlchemist7 ай бұрын
You could (and use less of it) but please note it is not approved by natural certifications in case that is what you are looking for :)

why not add SCI so it's a true cleanser
@OrganicAlchemistАй бұрын
Yea good question! 2 personal reasons: 1. I use this product mostly to remove eye makeup so I don’t want surfactants that can sting the eyes. 2. SCI is unfortunately not allowed by COSMOS and I try to only work with cosmos approved ingredients :) That being said I like to use a cleansing gel or cream as my second step to remove the residue of the balm on my face and that’s with surfactants like coco glucoside. That’s the so called double cleanse method and it’s really gentle but effective I find :)

How much poly did you use? It says zero in the formula. Thanks!
@OrganicAlchemist Жыл бұрын
I mentioned it at 2:45. That's because it depends if you want to use it or not. So either you leave it out and the formula or you add 5% PG4O and remove 5% olive oil :)

If clay is added to this formula could it be used as a face mask .
@OrganicAlchemist7 ай бұрын
Great questions! Keep them coming ;) For clay to be activated, it needs to be in contact with water so this balm won't do much for the skin in terms of masking. It will also be too thick to really penetrate the skin. You could, however, apply the balm and then apply water, rubbing and emulsifying your face for a deeper cleanse :)

Can you make vinyl lipstick please?
@OrganicAlchemist6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your suggestion but I’m afraid I don’t formulate with vinyl because it’s not COSMOS approved. I can try to make a lipstick some time in the future though :)

Plz suggest substitute for polyglycerol oleate n coco caprylate
@OrganicAlchemist Жыл бұрын
Coco Caprylate is easy - any oils you like that feel light! Sunflower, Safflower or Apricot oil come to mind. PG4O is more difficult because there aren't many emulsifiers like that out there in the natural space. Polyglyceryl-4 Cocoate, Polyglyceryl-3 Caprate, polyglyceryl-6 stearate & polyglyceryl-6 behenate would work but I guess you also don't have access to them? However if you don't mind using non-natural ingredients Polysorbate 80 or PEG-40 would work Also you will have to check the suppliers recommended amount because it might be lower than 5%
