Nicely done Tyrone. Appreciate your time and effort to bring together all those beautiful & good quality models for the video. That was a great era for Matchbox. The Skybusters are also interesting & impressive range especially during the earlier years when the planes were made of metal. Not so nowadays with many plastic parts. Personally I have amassed hundreds of different models and for reference I use Les Veitch's publication "The Skybuster Range of Diecast Aircraft".

In 1987, I took an open roof double deck bus tour one morning in London. Alone. You’re right. I remember it as a great thing to this day. Love the Peterbilts too, but man, that Lincoln was hideous then and now, in 1:1 AND 1:64. Totally agree on that 944 turbo. Not a great car in real life, but like the matchbox. Proportions work better in the palm of your hand. 🤷🏻♂️ I would have played with that ford utility truck all day, every day. 😊 If you made a five hour video, I’d find the time to watch it. You always make it a better day with your uploads. Thanks as always… 😊👍👍

Great video! So many memories! 80s and early 90s my favourite era of Matchbox! You should definitely collect Skybusters, it's a great series, got over 50 myself, mostly military. A lot of variants though for some of them!

Yay another catalogue review! Love these, thanks Tyrone. Sorry, there is a variant of the 44 Skoda 130LR. The early version did not have Duckhams on the side. One to track down? It is comparatively rare and therefore even more AU$ouch

That's what I'm doing with the 1984 catalog. I was born in 1984, it is now 2024, I thought I would surprise myself :D

Brings back so many good memories. I was 12 and buying cars to keep mint rather than playing with them by this point so I still have many of these in collectors cases. I’m still baffled as to why Matchbox decided to release a moulding of the Buick LeSabre NASCAR considering how short lived and unsuccessful it was in real life!

I unfortunately modified my hot wheels as a kid by scraping them on the sidewalk making the tops of them shiny for a day or two before dulling to a gray ZAMAC
