Anything that has the name "Acoustic" attached to it, and the name Rob Thomas, Matchbox 20 or Nickelback in it, is always amazing. I mean, this guy has a stereo built right in his voice box, incredible as always. Watching this in 2020 and still just amazed.

All day staring at the ceiling Making friends with shadows on my wall All night hearing voices telling me That I should get some sleep Because tomorrow might be good for something Hold on Feeling like I'm headed for a breakdown And I don't know why But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell I know right now you can't tell But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see A different side of me I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired I know right now you don't care But soon enough you're gonna think of me And how I used to be, me I'm talking to myself in public Dodging glances on the train And I know, I know they've all been talking about me I can hear them whisper And it makes me think there must be something wrong with me Out of all the hours thinking Somehow I've lost my mind But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell I know right now you can't tell But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see A different side of me I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired I know right now you don't care But soon enough you're gonna think of me And how I used to be I've been talking in my sleep Pretty soon they'll come to get me Yeah, they're taking me away But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell I know right now you can't tell But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see A different side of me I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired I know right now you don't care But soon enough you're gonna think of me And how I used to be Hey, how I used to be How I used to be Well, I'm just a little unwell How I used to be How I used to be I'm just a little unwell

This tine so reminds me of an Ex. Bipolar and with substance abuse issues. l didn't find it untill we were long over, but it sure helped when l sang it with such rage and pain, the release was unreal. ln my head, it was sang to me by him, and indeed l stopped caring and internalizing his crap. lt can be amazing to no longer give a damn.
@hades05725 жыл бұрын
Just read your comment. We are all responsible for our own actions. If someone wants to use their previous experiences as an excuse that's just lame in my opinion. Plenty of people are unwell and yet they don't substance abuse nor break any laws because at the end of the day if you have a conscience you know what is right and or wrong.

The original reminds me of dealing with the absence of my sweetheart (still best friend now) in sixth grade since she transferred schools. I was so depressed, but I managed to get back up, and after a bit of struggling, I’m almost back to the top. Would say the rest, but it’s a long story. But the story of the two of us is really sweet, and I still love her like she’s my girlfriend. But I have to say, this is nice to fall asleep to

Spent time with my Taylor learning this version... It's a peculiar step down too... south of "Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb" by like 31.5 cents. Someone below asked for the strum pattern... The chords are the same as the album/full version, but with the strings a little slack, you can get really expressive and percussive with your attack. I learned it the way Kyle (assuming he's playing, but Rob can solo this) does it in this recording, but have reinvented my own version a bunch of times. It's part of the fun.
