Its took me 37 yrs to fully understand this song and to get and boy am I glad I ever had the chance to hear it and truly feeling it even though it hurts it's a good lesson in a one sided love that when it came out I could never comprehend until experience jaded me to understand the lyrics completely...what a beautiful song! This is the better version of the song by a long way. Only problem I have is they clearly doctored those drums. That's NOT an opinion btw it's a fact. I've worked in small studios before. Drums don't sound that perfect without being heavily digitized and manipulated post production... Would've liked a more natural drum sound with the acoustic instruments...
