The last Matchbox case for 2017 is good. Speed Trapper is a really fun model, sometimes Matchbox are spot on with their 'Originals' designs. I have to get that new Police 5-pack. I'd love to see 1956 Buick Century Police and Dodge Magnum make a comeback to the mainline. And just like you, i like to collect police cars. 'Pushbar & lightbar' as you say. The horsebox is another one of those Matchbox 'stealth variants' If you look through the roof, there are various things on the trailer floor. One has a saddle, I believe, and the other has a coil of rope. The horsebox is very old - I had a Lesney one with an opening ramp and horses inside, when I was a kid. It was bright yellow.

The bottom of the package has the Matchbox logo, the digits 5x and an image of a model. No name for the 5-pack.

Great video as usual RaceGrooves. I really like the Speed Trapper trailer, the Tesla Model S, and some of the other vehicles that were show cased in the M Case of Matchbox for 2017. Anyway, the Pony Trailer from that police 5 pack is not a new release. I believe that casting has been around since either the late '60s early '70s. I think Mattel retooled the Pony Trailer somewhat recently. I hope that more trailers get released for the Matchbox line for 2018. Also, when you showed that Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Police Car, the X is a Roman numeral for 10. So, it would be said as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10, as the 10 represents the tenth generation of the Mitsubishi Lancer. I hope that helps for any future Matchbox videos that you put out for the future.

The black version of the Buick was the first release of that car. MBX also gave out a fire station themed Buick at the MBX Gathering event that year. The no interiors is a bit disturbing, whats in store 4 years down the road? No more tires? lol

At a Gathering event, I expressed to Mattel, how much do you continue to degrade the product before the consumer is no longer interested? Their response was that they (Mattel) wouldn't let it go that far. I am not privy to any inside information but it sure seems that retailers want a $1 US price point, consumers want that price point, and stock holders and Mattel want to keep their profit margins. Until something gives, quality and details will be reduced.

One of my favorites is the 51 Hudson Hornet Sheriff unit 1 black and white, which I don't think you showed in this video, unless I missed it in a self-induced time warp. I do realize it is a recent car, (in fact, I found another on the pegs just last week) and that may be why you left it out. However, I just had to give it props because it is a fantastic casting and tampo design. In my never humble opinion Matchbox knocked it out of the park with the Hornet and also, the NYPD five pack (which I would love to have another couple of packs, for playing in the diorama and pretending I am still 12 years old, of course).

Actually the water delivery truck is based off of a real truck and the New York Police have a Heavy Rescue Unit also they do help the NYFD on Rescue Calls sometimes. =^.^=
