Hi from peterlee. I think by your accent you're not to far away. Love this VW and thanks it brought back some very happy memories.

This is one of the BEST Matchbox Restorations/Modifications/Customs that I have seen on KZbin! Your attention to the small details is SUPER! Keep up the great work!

This, and the raised roof version, are two of my favourite castings. Really like the colour scheme....typical of the VW.....congrats.

Gee if you wanted to give it that California vibe you should paint the plate black with gold digits. It came out great, I think that it compares well to a recent custom van challenge I recently saw on KZbin. 👍🏽

Great job Tony! The two tone paint always looks good on the early split window Kombis, brilliant idea for creating a wood grain look on the table as well. BTW Aussies and Kiwis use the word bodge as well, side effect of watching a lot of UK TV shows I suppose lol.

Just wondered why you didn't add front seats and a steering wheel since I'm sure you could have made them as you made the table.Not to detract from the amazing job you did.

I think a bodger had something to do with chair making, so you are not far off making a table.
@turbolivesinmyheart63285 жыл бұрын
It looks very good, but I cringe every time somebody lays one of their projects upside down on the table without any protection. All it would take is one little tiny piece of a fragment of metal and you will scratch your perfect paint job.

I know what you mean, there is a touch up on the roof for that very thing lol

I have to say, there are parts of your vids that seem to drag, it might be a bit more interesting if you are able to do a time lapse and speed up that footage.

I know what you mean, im still working on it, too much time spent on detailing on this one I think.

That used to be called baby boy blue, now called baby of indeterminate gender blue.
