Very nice job, Martin. I always loved the use of the extra clear to make the paint finish shine. I'm a big fan of racing stripes and just little details like that. But it's your car and you do what you want with it because that's what you like.

I used to have a red 1984 1600 Carburettor cabriolet which was the rarer version (GL-spec trim), one of only 725 made in ‘84. Nice restoration job here Martin!

Nice job fella, red is a synonymous colour for the XR3i so great choice, Black or charcoal was always better on the RS Turbo's so maybe a custom if you get another. ;-)

Martin, have you ever thought about using an end mill bit instead of a drill bit to cut loose the little cars? That way you could cut the peened over metal and leave a flat surface to drill for a screw or whatever. Just a thought. Nice video anyways...

The vivets are so small they would easily pull through. It's only the glue holding the base on.

These are display models and won't pull through bud. Today's glues are so strong even full size cars are often glued together.
