Lots of treatment for a tiny model. It turned out very nice. The base is well done. Ive never built this one. I built lots of these Matchbox back in the day mid 1970s. I never thought to ever use oil paint and spirits for weathering . I use acrylics Gunze paint and for weathering dry brush and maybe sometimes water down black or dark grey etc. lately i use the Tamiya weathering sets. Just brush on to model as dry brush over panel lines but not to much. For exaust streaks works well. I don't airbrush as some modellers do. Very nicely done. I wish they did these in 1/32 would've been great. But still impressive nice details.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️

Thanks for your comments, yes they are great kits and I’m building Monty’s caravan for a future video. I am trying to improve the quality of my videos so stay tuned. By the way I love your channel, especially the Matchbox and Airfix playsets, I had most of the in the very early 80s except the desert one. I have been looking to pick a few up for a bit of nostalgia but they are always a bit too pricey. Otherwise keep up the good work 👍

@@toysoldiernostalgia yes, I will be purchasing a camera and try to improve my editing skills to making the viewing experience better. As for the playsets, I live about 5 mile away from Vectis Auctions in Thornaby-on-Tees in the UK, I’m always tempted to visit but I’m afraid I might just empty my bank account when I’m there. Dangerous thing this collecting business 👍

I bought a couple of playsets from Vectis and it got a bit expensive shipping them to Sweden 🤣. Editing is the boring part of all this (as you know) but now that I´m getting more used to Davinci Resolve at least it´s a bit easier.@@creativetimewasting

How I miss these Matchbox kits, thanks for sharing. I know some of them are still availabe under the Revell brand (this one is one of them) but unfortunately not the entire 'collection' is available. (And it's still NOT the same without the colourfull Matchbox boxing)

Totally agree, the Revell reboxes do not inspire or fire the imagination the way the Matchbox kits did, they were the full package. I will be building more Matchbox kit for the channel, I may try to make them shorter and a bit more dynamic. Thanks for your comments 👍

I really appreciate the video, I just found similar Matchbox model but it's Monty's Caravan. Watching you tackle this project helped me know what I was in for. In terms of production value I would leave your camera in a static position and try to move things in front of it instead of moving your camera around. If you are more comfortable moving your camera around, investing in a Gimbal to smooth things out would be wise. Cheers, and good luck.

I understand the sentiment and enthusiasm, but I have to respectfully suggest that watching people simply do 'the build' is like watching paint dry. To my way of thinking, if your first model is sub par, build another 10, if your 10th model is a mess, build another 100. If you get much beyond the 100 point and you haven't learnt volumes about model building (and the use of band aids) - take up music...... Sorry, no disrespect intended, but some skills are just hard won and the result of personal experience.
@karlroy62611 ай бұрын
I’m failing to see the justification in this response. I merely wanted to see my friend build a model in a time lapse. Ok that may not be for you, you have the ability to skip. Here we have a wonderful gentleman filling his time creatively and would like to see his efforts grow and blossom. He is filled with lots of knowledge and his talent with an air brush is beyond reproach. All the best Neil.
