I love these old Matchbox kits and their positionable transparent stands. I built many of them in the 70's. Although the kits don't have too much details, all parts fit quite well and it is easy to build a beautiful model. With a few aftermarket parts and a little bit of scratchbuilding, they still make great looking models. Thanks for posting the video.

Instant memories came back from a time when I built this same kit in the late 70's although I do not remember that brilliant red fuselage. I do remember that trying to paint the cockpit frame was a real pain. You did a very nice build, congratulations and thanks for sharing the video

It’s no surprise that a certain symbol was removed since the kit was distributed by Revell Germany, and that symbol is illegal in that country.

Great job on that one! Believe I had my eye on that exact same kit at Telford, instead I came away with a Heller Morane-Saulnier M.S.406. Terrible decision! I've built the Airfix Boomerang and enjoyed it, the Heller M.S.406 is much less enjoyable.

Just wondering, why don't you prepaint details like cockpit interior, wheels/tires, struts and engine before assembly and overall painting? 🤔 On an old kit like this, I use a decal liquid to make sure they don't crack. Testors makes a decal spray and Microscale makes a brush-on decal liquid. A clear acrylic could work too.
@creativetimewasting4 күн бұрын
I prefer to build as much as possible before painting, just my way. I think it’s easier to tie in the weathering. I also think it can speed up a build too.
