Another great restoration, although it deals with the saddest period in diecast history: the decline and fall of realistic toy car models. At this point, the Hot Wheels doctrine was in full effect: don't bother with expensive licensing, and real cars are soooo boring! Just get your designers to create something that looks "kewl", add some smart stickers, oversized fast wheels, and eye-catching metallic paint colours. Don't bother with boring detailing or actual logic design (like how to transport that big ramp in real life), the target audience is just kids and they don't understand such things anyway. But despite my very negative feelings about the model itself, I nevertheless regard it an important piece of history.

How do you match the paint colours to the original ?
