Thanks Michael..... I'd forgotten about it actually until someone else mentioned it. When I did 1/24th scale I used to make the window nets out of it which, as you say, was much more material like. I'd totally forgot then I was reminded again about it. Much easier :)

What a great video to watch on a Sunday morning! Your patience, accuracy and tenacity with creating the various tiny apertures in the body really paid off and added greatly to the realism of the model. The devil is in the detail as they say so the tiny elements such as the speaker mesh grill and nicely textured racing harness really are the things that set the model apart from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Part of the reason it takes so long to heat up the metal when soldering is because you're also heating up your clamps. They are acting as a heat sync and taking the heat away from the joint you are hoping to solder. You would be better off using some sort of hi heat resistant nylon to hold your parts. Then all of your heat will be going into the parts joint only and not into the clamp. Just offering up some advice. And, as usual, a great build. Always impressive. Thank you for the inspiration.
