I live in the south and have had the cops called on me because someone saw me "smoking something in my car" and had a laugh with the officer about it.You can't hardly enjoy anything down here without someone being nosey or getting pissed about and looking down their noses at you. I would've loved the old days when you could smooth anywhere, I am old enough to remember when my Dad would smoke in the mall without a problem. Really enjoy your videos.

I recall being able to smoke anywhere in the 60's and 70's, the mall for sure. Somehow I was never comfortable just walking into a place, like a minimart, with a cigarette going. How times have changed!

I live about a 15 minute drive from Boswell's shop. They are all friendly and have a great selection in house. I go there with one of my buddies to have a cigar in their lounge. I'm surprised they are well known enough to have people order from them. All of this time I have been going there, I just thought they were a neighborhood fine tobacco shop. Now I will have to get a pipe and try their tobaccos now and try some of their samples and signature blends.

It's amazing what the internet has done. Right here on YT, there are hundreds (maybe more) of videos mentioning Boswells pipes, and/or tobaccos. No need for them to advertise LOL.

Experimenting with different blends has really been an education. My recent purchase of "Storm Front" has convinced me I need to develop a base burley recipe which will allow me to tweak any added components rather than starting from scratch with everything each new blend. Seems obvious now, but I've been wasting my time without a base mixture.

As I watch your video, I have 2 oz of this Blend in my cart and I am ready to buy. It sounds great and I love Latakia. However, I want to view some reviews first. I'm happy to know it reminds you of the smell of burnt marshmallows. I hope it does for me too. I love that smell.

To be totally honest, the Northwoods and another Boswell blend were gifted to me. I am not an aromatic smoker as a rule, however, for those who are, the reviews are outstanding.

Lovely video Mr. 860 ;) Zach has joined GPSS on FB, I was just pulling his leg about him being my kid if I had one when I was 20 years old. He's in good hands, lots of us started smoking way before we were 18 atleast he approached you instead of smoking cigarettes full of additives. I have heard lots of good things about Northwoods from Boswell's as well as McClelland.

It is a great blend, sometimes just a tad too sweet for me. But I have gotten nothing but compliments on the room note. You said it perfectly, roasted marshmallows. That was very nice of you to give that pipe to Zach. You're a good man.

Northwoods is good. I got a blend from ragbomb where he mixed two parts bca and one part latakia. Very good. To me, better than nw. There are several aros of boswells I'd like to try. Oh and I cant seem to keep my zippo from all the fluid evaporstinv. I'll fill it and it just evaps in a week. I tried vasoline around it but nuthin helps! Help me! !

Oh yeah! Black Cav. and latakia alone is terrific, as is Burley in place of Virginia leaf. I couldn't tell you how long the fuel should last in a Zippo as I have my use habits and refueling down to a science...sorry :(

weekly is about how often you have to refill a zippo. that's just because of the way it is designed, it lets the fumes out. small price to pay to carry a lighter that can last longer than you.

Matches860 very good point. I'm only an occasional smoker so I use a butane lighter most of the time. and when I feel like using the zippo, it means I have to fill it first. that's part of the charm though.

Was wondering if you have ever tried Boswell's Hunters Choice? Got a sample with a pipe and was trying to figure out the flavor. Tobacco reviews says the flavoring is nuts and beans. Wonder if it tastes similar to the tonquin bean. Have a great day!
