My first J.M. Boswell's Pipe

I have wanted one. I have looked online for a couple of years. Well we were camping close so we visited the Alexandria store. It was perfect because I could see, touch, and hold the pipes. So here is my new pipe......

Great pipe and video , I live in Michigan and have never made the trip to one of his shops . I have one of his large freehand pipes I bought at a Tinderbox in 1996 and it is still my favorite pipe . The trip is still on my bucket list . Happy smokes ... Bernie

Thank you. If you can make it by all means do. The shop was incredible. It is one of the last remaining shops like that around. Very friendly and helpful. I remember going to tinderbox at the local mall when I was younger. The place smelled so good……..

Man I just made my first drive out there, I’m 2 hours or so from Chambersburg. What an amazing shop. We have a few small pipe shops in and around philly but nothing close to Boswells. Really a shame when you think of how shops like that used to be way more prevalent in this country.

Awesome. I’m about 2.5 hours from the Alexandria store. I couldn’t agree more that it’s a shame. Those older places that have gone can never be replaced. Boswell’s is worth the drive. Did you pick anything up?

@@atnoahshouse yea got a pipe. My first Boswell, best smoking pipe I own now by far 😂. Pretty reasonably priced too compared to other custom pipe makers

Just came across your video, a year late. I have smoked a pipe for over 60 years. Have seven Boswell pipes and they are seven of the best pipes I have ever owned. Never have been to their shop's but did talk to J.M. once on the phone. He makes wonderful pipes at very good prices. Thanks for your video. God bless Jim

Great place. We used to have a boat not far from there. We now try and do our last rv trip to that lake (Lake Raystown). So I get to stop in once a year. Thanks for stopping by…….

My only suggestion would be to go to the store to see them in person if at all possible. Pictures just don’t do them justice. Also when you see them in person your thoughts may change on what you’re looking for. I go at least once a year…….

@@atnoahshouse my wife is from pa I'll get down there eventually jm Boswell is the only place I get my tobacco they have a huge selection and they ship it out fast definitely the best service I've ever had im not worried about spending a few Xtra dollars id rather give them the money and be treated like a valued customer than get free shipping by another place that might send my order out in a few days that is my ultimate pet peeve very happy ordering from Boswells

It was great. I wish that there were more B&M pipe shops around. Online shopping is convenient and saves money to a point but can’t replace actually going there and smelling the blends, holding the pipe in hand, and meeting the artist/craftsman…..

Thanks. It was great to actually be there and hold the pipes in my hand to get a better feel for the one I liked. I was very excited that he was there and chatted with me……
