Dottie was GREAT! I loved her voice, and I LOVED that she sang a worship song! (I'm also thrilled that that guy lost with saint Richard again. Lol, he picks him the first time and lost, so of course he had to lose with him the second time)
@rockaway2k Жыл бұрын
Well, the first time Richard’s British Empire answer could’ve gone either way. I thought Roman Empire myself. The second time Richard was chosen, the man flat out blew it. Communist Party was a pretty obvious answer, IMHO. While the choosing of Richard was overwrought to many, who would you have chosen for ONE answer and $30,000 in today’s money on the line?

H/H match update: ... Today's action: Our champion wins his second game thanks to Brett's hairy "Chest." *Today's audience match question: "Montgomery ________"* (My thoughts: Ward, Clift, Alabama) - If it were Match Game 2023, I'd say Montgomery Burns. The celebs: Brett (Ward), Charles (Alabama), Fannie (Clift) The choice: Ward The answers: Alabama, Clift, Ward - First time in a while that both I and the celebs thought of all three answers, but I had them in proper order, so I beat the stars today! Second time in a row that our champ scores the top audience match answer. He missed with Richard on the H/H match last time, and he didn't even call on him for a suggestion today. Does this mean the bromance is off? Will he try matching Brett today? No and no. "Let's go Richard once again," he says. This is now King Richard's fifth consecutive play again, and he's been chosen 111 of the past 122 times. (Charles answered three of the remaining questions, Fannie also took three, and Rosemary Forsyth, Nipsey Russell, Meg Bennett, Scoey Mitchell, and Brett got one each.) Stats: Richard has matched 70 of his 166 most recent attempts (42.2%), 53 of his last 123 attempts (43.1%), 33 of his last 73 attempts (45.2%), and 9 of his last 26 attempts (34.6%). His overall success rate is 41.7% and this is his 644th attempt so far. For the sake of comparison: Charles has matched 33 of his 66 attempts (50.0%), Fannie has matched 14 of 29 attempts (48.3%), and Brett has matched 29 of her 69 attempts (42.0%). Neither Avery nor Jo Ann has yet had a chance to answer a head-to-head question. *Today's H/H question: "Communist **________** "* (Well, given this is 1977, one phrase that was common back then was Communist China, so that's what I'll say. Communist Party would be my second choice.) Richard begins writing immediately, but the camera pulls away from him, so I don't get a clear picture or how much he writes, but it looks possible that the first letter he writes is a C (or maybe I'm just imagining it). "Communist China," he says, receiving a polite-to-moderate round of applause. Well, he and I are on the same wavelength at least. Will Richard join us? Oh. The loop I saw Richard write wasn't a C - it was part of a P. He wrote: "Party." (Just like yesterday, Richard tries to shift the blame by saying that a TV anchorman should have thought of Communist Party, but I'd argue that Communist China was in the news more than the Communist Party.) No match today. ~~~Here's our updated leader board showing the 11 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: (Note: An asterisk before a celebrity's name signifies that she has "retired" from the show and her H/H stats are now complete.) (Note: For tied scores, I consider the one with the greater number of matches to be higher; if the matches are equal, the celeb who first achieved that score goes on top.) Orson Bean - 100% (4 wins in 4 attempts). TIE: (*)Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). Gary Burghoff - 71.4% (5 wins in 7 attempts). TIE: Charles - 50.0% (33 wins in 66 attempts). TIE: Betty - 50.0% (19 wins in 38 attempts). Fannie - 48.3% (14 wins in 29 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts). Brett - 42.0% (29 wins in 69 attempts). Richard - 41.6% (268 wins in 644 attempts). Bert Convy - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 987, excluding the lost/missing/damaged episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325, 645, and 910. (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!") -- Also, note that episode 849 was never produced. Additionally, these stats do, however, include the H/H results of missing episode 968 as those results were revealed in episode 969.

@caroldannenberg97786 жыл бұрын
I think everyone should be free to express and celebrate their religion without fear of "offending" someone, and that we should accept each other. I didn't say anything negative about Muslims; I just made an affirmative statement about Christianity. Why does that offend you? If I like rock music and someone else likes country, would they be offended if I said rock music is the best? If I went to University A and said it was a wonderful school, would someone who went to University B be offended? If I said I was married to the sweetest man in the world, would my married friends be offended, thinking I was implying that their husbands weren't as sweet? Of course not. So why can't we celebrate our religion without offending?
@2Majesties6 жыл бұрын
There's a Christian church every 500 ft in this country and no shortage of Christian influence on e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. On what alternative FoxNews planet do you live??
@caroldannenberg97786 жыл бұрын
I have actually never seen Fox News. But I do see that it's practically against the law to say anything good about God or Christianity in public. Your response and the other response I got show this. I'm not sure where you see Christian influence on everything. If a store puts up a Christmas tree as decoration, people get offended because the word "Christ" is in Christmas tree. Employees are banned from wishing someone a Merry Christmas, instead they must say Happy Holidays. A friend ended the message on her work answering machine with "God bless," and her boss told her to remove it. Schools used to have Christmas Concerts with carols, now they have "Winter Concerts" with songs like "Grandma got run over by a reindeer." The USA is increasingly secular. Where do you see Christian influence? In abortion? Gay marriage? The banning of the use of Jesus' name on the National Day of Prayer? Now I'll wait for the vicious attacks on this post, which will further prove my point.
