Great overview and demos. FYI: the delay is for the GNSS module is to download GNSS/GPS Almanac data, or more precise Ephemeris data which is a catalog of satellite orbit data. All GNSS satellites transmit this catalog in a 12 minute loop. So 12 minutes is the worst case time delay with one visible satellite. ie: a longer wait implies an issue elsewhere (power, or basic antenna reception) Location where flying doesn't really effect startup time, just the age of the almanac data. Believe the orbital parameters are updated once a week, so the longer a module is not used the more stale its satellite reference data. If the flight controller had a recent almanac copy (or we save a downloaded version from the internet), then any GNSS module could quickly locate its position. During the maximum of the ~22 year solar cycle (eg: 2024-26) high solar activity expands the Earths atmosphere, resulting in greater drag effect on satellites, slowing them a bit more than typical. This causes parameters defining orbits to drift more with time. BTW: solar flares can impact GNSS reception (ionosphere gets distorted), so we should anticipate lower satellite counts during and after such an events, when the sun shoots a blast of energy our way.

Ah, the old Neo GPS....great gps and compass back in the day a few years back. I still have couple on gliders to monitor altitude and groundspeed.....🤔😀😀🇬🇧

i have this little guy on my quad and in a few planes , it works pretty good only thing is that its bugged in older betta flight versions but they fixed the bug in 4.5

If your choose UBLOX7 protocol in INAV then you get 10Hz update time, which slightly increases accuracy in speed readings on the OSD. I think that via CLI you can even set higher update times.

Przyjacielu tak właśnie czynię. Pojawia się długa lista języków automatycznego tłumacza ale języka polskiego nie ma.! I was surprised when you said you weren't getting GPS fixes reliably. I'm just across the strait in the Launceston, Tas area and get about the same performance under a tile roof that you got in the car. I have a few generic M10s and have them set to UBLOX 7 and all the networks ticked which has got me as many as 23 satellites indoors. M7 & 8 were pathetic in comparison; not even good enough for paperweights. (Edit: On INAV)
