I am applying bin card to my new company but some frnd of my boss says him it's not necessary only maintain stock register how I explain its necessary.

It is necessary to see the real time stock,,, if you are not maintaining the stock in software.. if you want see the real stock of an specific item ,any time then you dont need to see the stock register,, you can just see the bin card... also in your absence any one taking material can update in the bin card.. also you can verify the physical stock with stock in books easily.. basically it is for visual control
