Tian's HP loss from skill is being counted in total dps so it is hard to say that A0 tian outscales the others. This means the actual dps and the one displayed in every JO or FCH run is not the same. You can try using a skill once you enter FCH and activate the stages. You'll see that the hp loss is being recorded as dmg dealt on the dps display.

It's weird honestly, like it counts for dmg taken and dmg dealt which is probably an oversight from the devs. But from napkin meth I did, for whales (comparing frost FCH 5 chest solo to bolt FCH 5 chest solo) the hp loss takes around 4-5% of dmg dealt

As a F2P that went all in on Lin with every free pull and spare dark crystal I got since launch, and no luck even ever pulling Crow, my team is Lin6, Samir6, Nem0. Should I pull for a Tian0 to replace the Samir? More damage but also self damage and my Nem isn't high star so the healing is only okay not amazing. I can probably guarantee a Tian0 but no more.

I dont think a0 Tian is better then A6 Samir. Those stats you see in the video are not counting the fake % of his dmg that self dmg from passive that is counted as dmg the player did to enemies, so his actual dmg is a bit less

Everybody compare Samir/Crow with Tian but the dev changed him and he doesn't have the same role anymore. He is a dps shatter now while Samir/Crow are dps charge. So the right comp should be Samir + Tian and either Lin or Nemesis.

I got Tian A1 and I can feel how he donates much dmg on that lvl 80 enemies, my crew told me that I better using crow A6, so he can boost Tian volt dmg, I have build samir, and haven't build crow, and he only came home once so he still A0, I still try to awaken him first by giving him comics xdxd. I just like focusing on healer first, I think they're really helpful, already done with A6 zero, I want to max my A3 coco first, I also a Ruby user. although his skill drained hp, he is fun to use, cause the move are fast and cool, and I think he recharge fast too when we use his dash atk, also his burst turned out to be fun bcs we go up high on air and strike down wherever the target are.

Interesting. In my server, most players are indeed using Ice. But I've met a lot of fellow Volt main too (I'm a Volt main btw). I can say that Volt is the second most popular pick now in my Server. Fire is pretty rare. Physical used to be rare too but people started to pick it up again since Lyra came out.

Did this take into account that crow has 30% dmg boost when hp of target goes down to 60% and multiplied by a5 which is 50% crit dmg buff on each backstab in real world situation? I tried Tian vs crow and in real world a6 crow finished bygone 410 faster by more than 30 seconds ve tian a1. So I'm pretty sure that was not put into the calculation?

Crow's A1 value is calculated in cell U46. His A3 is averaged as an active multiplier and can be seen in cells E21-23. His A5 value is in cell V46 and W46 and takes into account the total average bonus from the extended crit chance/damage from average electrocution uptime from A1 coupled with the A5 buff. His A6 is counted as a Volt debuff. All these on-field multipliers benefit passive damage such as Lin through a weighted calculation in M51. The difference in clear time could be possible from a variety of factors. Do you by chance have any footage as a reference?

But importantly, people need to be able to use him properly. Yes, he can deal more damages. But his power needs a price, and it's your HP. There are always times when a boss can wiped out your team's DPS when they can't manouver properly. And that's when they don't even use Tian. Let alone special attack, Tian users can die from a simple nudge from the boss if they are too focused on doing damage. As someone who used to do a fulltime support job, I can already feel the headache when I imagine Tian users who can't play properly keep dying. Tian isn't a newbie or not so skilled player friendly. Players need to rework their playstyle to make him works. Those who used to play Samir are used to with a more save approach by spinning above enemies head. Crow users are used to being a sneaky opportunist who always aim to do backattack, deal a high burst damage, then fallback to safety as they switch for maybe Lin to build up their next discharge burst. Tian's playstyle is completely different from those two as he need to dive into the center of danger while consuming his own HP to deal more damage. One simple wrong move, and you will die. So for those who is planning on using Tian, please be good and adapt your playstyle first before jumping into hard coop stages

I do not know if it is a good way to use it but it has served me in the 8vs8 and against bosses That if, as you have said, skill is needed

I'm *guessing* 3* 2p (with 0* 4p) would be better, but do you have any insights? Also curious how the math works with his 2p set, you say it gives only 6.5% value at 0*, but it has 12% damage up baked into the stats to begin with, shouldn't 12% be the minimum? His self damage also counts as if you did damage to actual enemies so while he's really strong and with matrices, the numbers are deceiving you when you do extra damage in par to your hp as if you did to an enemy.

@@alreawon1212 Global is a different game at this point. I wouldn't be surprised is Fenrir can't output the same DMG as Tian when she enters global. The whole point of global is balancing and Tian is tricky to balance. His whole shtick is that he kills himself for more damage, and if they balanced him to do around the same DMG as most of the standard and other limited, then what's the point of getting a high risk character that kills himself just to do almost the same DPS as older units. So in the end they kept most of his DMG and multipliers but removed his sharable i-frame passive when he consumes 30% HP every skill/discharge so that there's a point in playing a character that kills himself. Also Crow A5's 100% Crit for 4 seconds is a background buff than will still work when u swap to your other 2 weapons, his A6 is also a background debuff on enemies and when you swap weapons and the 20% volt DMG can be utilized by your other volt weapon assuming you use Lin as your third. To me this is support potential. Add the fact that Crow Discharge and Skill still hits like a truck and both are background DMG, you can literally cast both and swap back to your main DPS weapon and still have Crow doing huge damage. I've stopped following CN related theory craft coz they're subject to change in Global and at this point I'd rather make a decision based on what's actually available.

Depends, do you have Lin? Fenrir is both a great volt char, and enables rainbow teams such as Saki, Lin, Fenrir. Which is one of top teams in CN, right meow. So, I'd say Fenrir is more versatile. Of course, who knows what will happen with Fenrir. It's possible they'll nerf her into the ground, or just actually balance her, after the powercreep backlash with Tian. Also, if you want to Apex, Tian Lin Nem combo is broken as hell. Uncapped, no cd self healing from Tian when you hit low health, combined with near infinite nem slow orbs. It's absolutely broken.

That sounds good for what you have! The nice thing about Tian is that it works fully off-field so it's great to put it on Lin, while Lin's requires a little bit of presence now and then to keep up the 2pc~

Lin will give way more damage than Crow, there's not really a reason to run Crow if you have a decently starred Lin, particularly if you have her matrices. I think even an A0 Lin will beat out Crow, simply from the off-field damage that Lin does.

You dont even need nem tbh. You can go yolo crow lin tian. Tian boost your max hp so your hp might look small but its actually bigger. Next he has auto healing on each skill done past a certain percentage. I ran crow tian lin personally and rarely die you just need to time dodges and . Spamming dodge is not ideal. Only spam it while charge is up. Majority of the time i do lin 2 skills crow skill then release tian discharge to do 1.3m to start battle then as his hp goes down that inital almost doubles. So its entirely up to your play style. High risk high reward after all.

I appreciate your work, Maygi. I have a question though. Are all the dps tests done on the cactus dummy? Because in practice it may look much different. For example, I don't believe he can hit multiple targets at once as easily as Frigg or Meryl. Also, the shatter values would be not taken into consideration.

Just use crow tian if u can keep yourself alive. A1 nemesis isnt that good for dmg. If she ever comes to standard banner just pull her till a6 bc she is so cracked with her a's.

When you have a1/a3, the scaling for hp and attack becomes a partner for better damage and sustainability. With higher hp, your superconductor hp boost is higher, hence the hp loss is higher too, and knowing tian, his hp loss contributes to more damage therefore bigger hp = bigger damage boost + becoming beefier as well so better survivability too. Volt attack on surface level is also the main source of your dps, plus with a3, your attack helps negate supercondutor debuff (which gives you hp in exchange of taking more damage). Basially, the higher your volt attack, the debuff becomes less of a hassle (try reading his a3 for your better understanding). Ultimately, higher volt attack = higher dps plus better survivability. TL;DR, you want to have a great balance of both hp and volt attack, they go hand in hand together in making you deal more damage and reducing the risk of dying or risky gameplay.

Are you talking about in JO games or something? You can for one have MUCH better gear than the other player and have better rotations than them. Crow has a much easier time doing rotations than Tian Lang where you have to mirco manage a few things to be the most optimal.

I would prefer him being a charger but thanks to the community they made him a shatter unit.. that is worse than King. When Fenrir will come out with her unchanged shatter/charge values, Tian is only gonna lose because of this.

Tian barely attacks in the CN fenrir tian lin comp. So his charge wasn't all that useful as fenrir would be on the field for almost 80% of the damage rotation. And since global has no baiyuki there was no proper shatterer in the volt comp. Fenrir ain't gonna be here for 2 months(maybe less). Its about time we got a shatter volt weapon. Btw lin charges discharges insanely fast and so i don't think we would have any issues in the future considering this.

@@frozenbolt9936 He was a good charger, just his skill was charging up a lot, plus the breakdance skill. His shatter is gonna be useless though, it's gonna be less worth it to click his skill - because Fenrir will shatter more using normal attacks in the same time frame.

Piss poor comparison. Tian is dps so is Samir and Crow. Whereas Lyra is support and Shiro is dps. Tias does better damage but easily dies. Lyra does comparable damage but she heals. So why Shiro does as much as Lyra or more? While Tian out damage his other counterparts? Go figure.
