I'm so glad I bypassed this generation foolishness. When I dates 2pac in the 1990s, I never wanted fame nor any aspirations of being part of that life. I stayed in the cuts out in the Bay Area and essentially was 2pac friend/confidant/ friends with benefits. I never asked him for anything as when I met him in 1991, he really didn't have anything as I was more established financially than he was. Never was one to be with other artists either, as I didn't want to be that girl in the song.
