Another way is to add a zero to the number you are multiplying with 11. Then, add that number. For example, 103 x 11 = 1030+103. I.e., 1133.

How do you model this two methods in a computer program? This is basically what introduces bug in softwares that might be costly. Why not do it this way eg: 64*11= 64(10+1) = 640+64 = 704. Computer Science class takes smarter moves to solving problems. How do we solve 632548 x 19 in 10 sec? You will now discover limitations in this method that was adopted earlier.
