Why negative (-2)² would be positive 4?? It should be -4!! Can you explain.

Because you are squaring the negative too since it is inside of the ( ). (-2)^2=(-2)•(-2)=4. If it had been -2^2, then it would be -4, because you are only squaring the 2. -2^2=-2•2=-4. If you don't put it in the calculator with the (), the calculator will only square the 2.
