I just returned from PEI.....it is so much more than pub food and souvenirs; I guess you get what you look for. Prince Edward Island is full of history, the home of Canadian Confederation, site of the American "Raid on Charlottetown" and interesting, extroverted people who will tell you all about that history. Some really interesting sites and museums. Don't forget "Ann of Green Gables", one of best selling books in the world. In Charlottetown you will find two or three of the best bookstore you'll ever happen upon.

PEI is known for being a big supplier of potatoes to the world and also french fries under the name Mc Cains. Also they have world class golf and ann of green gables.

The Charlottetown farmers market is year round so the people inside on Saturdays have permanent stands. Wednesday markets you have some extra vendors who come in. And summer there are outside vendors. It may be small but it’s good. And those doughnuts are the best haha.

If you ever come back this way, you need to eat at Sea Rockets and Slaymaker & Nichols. They are both absolutely fantastic. They are currently my two favourite restaurants in Charlottetown.

I live in Rustico , PEI, and just wanted to mention that although COWS is really good ice cream, if you are ever here again, you should go to the city of summerside and go to Holman’s Ice Cream Parlour. It’s all home made and far better than cows I believe! Amazing flavours!

It was free! We have a map with gps coordinates of every spot we slept in the van over on our Patreon. However we find a TON of our spots with the app iOverlander
