How can we teach biblical headship of men in the home if we teach women leadership in the church? We need to look at the Bible as a whole as well as these verses to get true understanding. Well done message.

I knew it. Paul wouldnt give the outlines for a deacon 1 Tim 3 and prev in Romans 16 call Phoebe a deacon. God's word is true and facts. No contradictions.

A deacon is translated to servant in the greek; this pastor also said thst he thinks Timothy 3:12 means this and gives his personal interpretation which it is written thst scripture isn’t open to personal interpretation; 2 Peter 1:20-21 King James Version 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

My faithful brothers and sisters in the faith. Today I would like to share about how we are to look at the women’s role in the Church in accordance with the scriptures. As I continue my studies in the book of Romans I see that Paul wrote in Romans 16:1-3 “Now I recommend to you our sister Phoebe-who is a servant-leader of Messiah’s community at Cenchrea- so you may receive her in the Lord, in a way worthy of kedoshim, and help her in whatever matter she may need from you. For she herself has become a patroness of many, including me as well.” TLV! (Side note: to be worthy of Kedoshim, means to be worthy of the “laws of Holiness” practiced by the Jews in fulfillment to the 10 commandments.) If we have a NIV or NLT version we might read “I command to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the Church of Cenchreae. Now the Merriam Webster dictionary states that a deacon is a servant. One of the laymen elected by a church to serve in pastoral care, in worship and on administrative committees. But mainly someone who serves! So plainly said, our sister Phoebe was well known for serving the Church and using her talents to be a blessing to others! May be always seek to deepen our understanding of God’s words and to encourage one another daily towards love and good deeds! With Grace and peace in Christ our Lord!

Now read what it says in the KJV and the NKJV. Pay attention to what translations you read. Alot of now a day translations take away and add words. Intresting how God said do not add or take away my word. KJV is the closest interpretation to the word of God now if you can't understand that's okay theats why theirs the NKJV. Any other version takes away world and adds word for example. ESv, NIV, NLT add the word "deacon" in that same chapter and verse of Romans in the KJV AND NKJV say that Phoebe was a "Servant" doesn't say deacon. ✌🏼and❤️

Very wrong I would also suggest reading the full council of God and read from the KJV and the majority text. Your book is from a watered down cultural pleasing book. Read also 1 Timothy.3:1-16; Titus.1:4-11, Titus.2:1-12 nowhere in the scripture does it use the term sevant - leader. Very dangerous and prosumtious. DO NOT ADD INTO GODS WORD ANYTHING THAT IT DOES NOT SAY!

.....Jeremiah.2:11Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. 12Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. 13For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

The audience in Rome wasn't speaking in English. She was introduced as diakonos as all other words translated in English servant. Therefore, church in Rome heard the commendation of a diakonos which was the same word used in Philippians 1 and 1 Tim. 3. Question is did they struggle to understand on how to receive her seeing she had the apostle's commendation? No. Preaching must be faithful to authorial intent. I think one simple rule must be, 'a text must never mean something different from what it meant to the first audience.'

Egalitarianism in the professing church is simply evangelical feminism. God's Word is clear regarding His unique design and roles for each of the two sexes.

Evangelical proponents of deaconesses do not consider it a new office distinct from deacons (6:53), nor do they suggest that the deacon is a leadership office involving teaching and authority (8:00). This sermon clip does not refute female deacons, it refutes female ruling elders. Deacons are functionally ruling elders in many Baptist churches.

Women do have there place serving God, but, preaching is not one of them. .paul even teaches that women should be silent in the church as far as taking authority of any kind over man, paul made it very clear in scripture, he said: all the churches! ( 1 Corinthians 14: 33-36). No, i am convinced by Scripture not by you thoughts or ideas! God help us all.

Honestly feminist did not abuse this scriptures, you are talking about equalitarian and they are not feminist, she cannot be deacon because of your position, this useless argument. God has always use women in ministry to do His work, and no matter what opinion most missionaries in world are women. The promise of God He is going to pour out His Spirit on men and women a like to prophesied. List go gift spirit are available to all believers. Paul sent the letter to that means she would also be able to comment on letter her self. As Paul do your thinking word God came to you all first is it that it only reach you males only.

in Timothy and in Titus you will find it shows who can be a deacon and who can be a Pastor. Only Men can be that

There's a difference between a missionary and a pastor to a church. You're conflating two things to justify your misinterpretation of the office of elder or deacon in the church structure. It's in plain sight in scripture. Go read every single translation available to you for 1 Timothy 2 and 1 Timothy 3. Don't just pick one that justifies your position. The gifts are available to all believers but again, this is a conflation of spiritual gifts and God's command for how to structure the church. Are you saying you know better than God when it comes to the limitations he's put in place for us?

A missionary is a modern day apostle. They are sent out for the gospel's sake and plant or stabilize churches.

A Deacon means a servant in the greek; did God differentiate male and female in the great commission?? You 1st mistake is you say you think what 1 Timothy 3:12 ; if you’re doing your own thinking you’re already wrong scripture is not to be open for personal interpretation; 2 Peter 1:20-21 King James Version 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. You also left out usurp in 1tumothy 2:12 usurp meaning to take arms in the Greek; so essentially it’s taking over a church by self proclamation; my force
@noobmaster31 Жыл бұрын
You're the one trying to use the Great Commission to justify a false interpretation in reference to the offices in a church. That's not a good practice. The Great Commission was about spreading the gospel to the world, not the structure of the local church.

I know a preacher has taken a wrong tangent in interpretation when, inorder to support his point, begins to fault the interpretation of scripture done hy scholars who understand the particular language inside out yet he himself cant speak even a single sentence coherently and has to use vines and other books.

Good information ? He had many holes in his argument he talks about what he thinks a certain verse means when scripture tells us that scripture is not open to personal interpretation; Deacon means a servant in the Greek ; when reading 1 Timothy2:12 he left out the very important word of usurp which in the Greek translates to taking up arms so Paul is saying a woman is not to take arms & take over a church by force in a way of self proclamation; 2 Peter 1:20-21 King James Version 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Lastly did God differentiate between male and female in the great commission??
