You were right about her powers being taken after ladybugs! Ladybugs are known to grant wishes, that was one of the reasons I enjoyed collecting those creepy little things as a kid! Cats are stereotypically destructive, knocking things off counters and such (although I've only ever seen a dog do that). I never really thought about how the powers took after the kwami's form in this! The horse can teleport, they are a fast mode of transportation. The fox can change how things are perceived, those cute things are tricksters at heart! It's a bit of a stretch for some of them, but omg!

This is a weird one. It’s like an anime but done in 3D. The premis is that these two kids, Adrian and Marinnete are given these two creatures that grant them superpowers, the ladybug representing creation, and the cat being destruction. The villain of the show, Halkmoth, AKA Adrian’s dad, wants them because when combined they grant him power beyond imagination, and uses his own creature to create supervillains to hunt them down. The love plot is that Marinette is in love with Adrian, but Adrain dosent know Marinette too wel, but Adrain is in love with Ladybug, who is also Marinette, but Marinette finds Catnoir obnoxious. And thus the viscous cycle begins. It’s a very episodic show, the first season is rather repetitive, but it dose a good job at laying down the foundation for the show.

There's a lot of lore to this show, not really at first, but as the show went on, there started to be. "Spots On" is how she turns into Ladybug, and "Claws Out" is how he turns into Cat Noir. it started with just the two being superheroes, but as time went on, most of the kids in this show became heroes. they each have superpowers too, Ladybug's power is the Lucky Charm, which gives her a random object to help her defeat the villain of the show. Cat Noir's power is Cataclysm, a power that lets him destroy anything his claws touch. Adrien's dad is the main bad guy, even though no one knows that he is, his name is Hawk Moth but changed his bad guy name every season. he has the power to turn people into supervillains, and he wants the Miraculous for himself, the things that turn Adrien and Marinette into superheroes. first, it was because he wanted to rule the world, but that plan changed as more lore was added. I won't say why he wants it now because that would be a spoiler. I hope I covered everything; I think that's pretty much it.

I'm going to give you some lore context about the show: There are magical creatures called kwamis, and each of them represents a concept, like passion, determination, derision, beauty, math, etc. When the abstract concept of them appears, the kwami is born. Tikki (Ladybug's kwami) is the kwami of creation and was the first one to be born in the universe, with the Big Bang. Though the kwamis were not tangible creatures at the beginning, but a wizard discovered centuries ago a way to create some special jewels, the Miraculous, so the kwamis were able to communicate and and assist humans. Since the miraculous started to exist, humans started wearing them as heroes and protectors of their time, they say a special phrase and they'll transform. Each kwami has a special power related to their concept, when they use it without a wearer, the concequences are cathastrophic, they're really powerful and out of control. When they're transformed with a human, they channel the power through them and is more restricted and actually manageable. The thing is that the kwami needs energy to be able to fusion themselves with the human and let them use the special ability, they use the energy their wearer generates. If the one using them is a teen/kid, they don't generate enough energy, and can only use the special power 1 time per transformation, after using it, they'll de transform after 5 minutes, if it's an adult, they create enough energy to keep using the powers without restrictions. Though you always need to feed the kwami after transforming, no matter if you're an adult or child. The kwami of the Ladybug, Tikki, represents Creation, and the miraculous of the Cat, Plagg, represents Destruction. They are the most powerful kwamis,and if you get a hold of both of them, you're able to make an ultimate wish. Hawk Moth (the villain) wants that power for their own, and is using the power of a miraculous that he found long time ago (the miraculous just so happened to be lost) to try and take the miraculous of Ladybug and Chat Noir, but they're here to stop him every time for 5 seasons and more to come, all filled with adventures, love, trauma and a lot of drama. :)

okay so, this gets more confusing the longer the show goes on but the gist of the identities is; Marinette (main girl with pig tails) has a crush on Adrien (blonde boy). Marinette is also Ladybug, and Adrien is also Cat Noir. Cat Noir/Adrien has a crush on Ladybug, but Ladybug, or well Marinette, likes Adrien. Adrien thinks that Marinette is JUST A FRIEND. Neither of them realize that the other is the superhero they work with or the person they go to school with every day. Then there's Chloé, the blonde girl, who's always had a crush on Adrien and is a b*tch about it, she hates Marinette. And Kagami, the one with the short black hair, who also likes Adrien and her parent and his parent have already arranged for them to be together. And of course Luka, the one with the blue hair who is "the best musician", who likes Marinette. Almost all of the kids are sometimes also super heroes when the plot demands it. Almost none of them know that the others are sometimes superheroes. And thus the shipping wars begin.

First of all in this universe, there are miraculous boxes(such as the ladybug or black cat miraculous) they hold peices of jewlery which grants the user powers (also they the jewlery has kwamis which grant the holder the powers when they say some words, for example: tikki, spots on or plagg, claws out!) The one we know is based of chinese new year animals and a few other animals. Master Fu(who at the start of the show had the box) gave the main 2 miraculous(ladybug:luck/creation and black cat:bad luck/ destruction )to marinette and adrien to protect Paris because 2 miraculous were missing and were found by hawkmoth(adriens dad) many years ago and he became a villain to get the main 2 miraculous because if they are fused you can get a wish and he wanted to get his wife back since she used a damaged miraculous which made her sick and die. Also he has the butterfly miraculous so he can use butterflies/akumas(which he somehow has a lot of) and use them to get their miraculous in exchange for helping them with their problem. Marinette can ask master fu for miraculous when they need more help. Now onto the show. Basically she had 2 letters and gave the wrong one to adrien which supposed to be a love letter then the other one was about sickness of something and adrien is a famous fashion designer and he was going on a visit to london with someone else who likes him and therewas a villain that made him fall asleep so his kwami had to kiss him to wake him. An akumatized villain made it snow and marinette's kwami was trying to get her stay and help. She lives in an attic for her parents's bakery and she was on a balcony where she has to climb down back in her room. The villain could use toys to help him and the hero has yellow eyes because of the animal his miraculous is based off on. And he isnt a clone he met he has been in love ever since they met and ladybug gave it to adrien not knowing he's cat noir. The man in the vehicle said that because their miraculous were taken away and they had to get new outfits and marinnete in her temporary outfit said she is ladybug but he wouldn't belive her since she dosent look like it. They cant recognise each other because of quantum masking so you cant recognise others with miraculous even though 1 person was able to somehow. Also she was acting dramatic because she wanted to get out of the accidental dinner date. He was imitating her lucky charm because he thought being her was easy of something like that and lucky charm is a phrase for ladybug miraculous holders to summon their special power after that they have 5 minutes until they detransform. His friends know that his dad is very strict.

Those Constipation pills weren't for her it is a long story so basically she wrote adrien a letter confessing her love but then there was a letter from a doctor for someone else who is called master fu and the doctor told her to get the medicine so Marinette being a total icon accidentally gave adrien the doctors letter and gave the letter confessing her love for adrien to the pharmacy as I said such a long story 😂
