Peep site setup great video, but I have been looking for a chart that has draw length , axle to axle for degree of angle , and measurement of chin to middle of the eye . with all these measurements setting peep height could be done. I am just reaching out to see if anyone has seen a chart like this ?

What type of serving material do you use? I see a lot of people recommending Halo .014 or BCY 3D. Great video!
@GOHUNT5 жыл бұрын
I use BCY 62XS .018" mainly because that’s what I began using years ago and It’s always worked well for me. BCY Halo and 3D both have higher tensile strength’s and are excellent choices as well! - Dave Barnett

I’ve always had trouble with string twist and the peep being spun out of place. How do you prevent that problem form happening? Continually adjust the D loop?
@davidbarnett59785 жыл бұрын
Ryan David there are a few potential answers. String quality can definitely be an issue. Low quality strings tend to continually move(stretch) which will cause your peep to spin. An improperly aligned d-loop and peep can also cause this issue. Without seeing your bow the best thing I would say is to get your bow into a trusted shop. Peep rotation is generally a very simple fix. Thanks for checking out the video and please let me know if you have any other questions!

Great info guys. How about a video or so information on your bow work shop you have there? Bench/stand, draw board, vice, & press. I’m looking on setting up a little home workshop for myself and would like to only spend once and do it right. I recognize some gear but very curious about that stand you have the press mounted on. Thanks a ton.

What do you to when you’re peep twist as you’re new string breaks in? I thought I bought a nice after market string for my Matthews and the peep kept moving all summer. It was very frustrating. I had a local pro shop even tie it in but it still twisted.

Off topic but what did you use to hold your bow vice and bow press?
@GOHUNT4 жыл бұрын
It is a homemade stand that Brady Miller made years ago.

I need to move to the US cos here in the UK the store owners don't know shit! All they want to do is sell stuff but when it comes to setting up bows and doing the really technical stuff they don't have a clue!

So you just guess where it goes on the draw sting? I have learned nothing here...
@drawnow92782 жыл бұрын
You need to set it at a level where you don't need to adjust your head to see your sight. He happen to guess it at the proper place his assistance would have adjust it if needed.
