So basically it’s a 30 inch Triax. I guess I’ll keep my Triax. I thought they were going to get away from the whole Halon series this year! I love my Triax. Best bow I ever owned
@TheMarclan6 жыл бұрын
You said it’s a 30” triax and then you said it’s a Halon series bow (makes no sense). You’re basing these opinions on looks. If the riser was milled differently you’d think it’s an entirely new bow. The fact is, it’s a Vertix. It’s got DNA from all of Mathews prior bows. Deal with it!

That Switchweight deal is really cool. As long as the modules aren’t stupid expensive it will probably will help resell too as you won’t have to worry as much about finding a bow in the weight you want. Now if they would just stick all this tech on. 34-35”ATA bow that will go out to a 31.5-32” DL.

@Hoytshooter5 жыл бұрын
After about a week you'll get used to the weight and won't really notice it while shooting I agree with carbon I can't really hold them as good as the aluminum riser's but for hunting yardage like 50 and under I shoot them just as good but prefer the aluminum more and like the looks better also
@Lucky13Twice6 жыл бұрын
I don't give a shit about mods to change weight. I'll buy a 70 pound bow and if I want it 60 pounds, I'll just rotate the limb bolts. People who say that turning the weight down is not as efficient is bullshit. I checked the 70 lb turned down to 60 vs a 60 bow and they shot the same speed. What I want is a rotating mod to change draw lengths. Who the hell wants to buy new mod at 50 to 80 dollars a pop? And this deal on the dovetail for the rest, yeah $250 for a rest that I can buy on amazon for under 100 dollars without the dovetail, no thanks Mathews.

You should look in to the Mission line of bows made by Mathews. Great, lightweight bows that can come fully loaded with a rest, sight, and stabilizer. Just a really high quality bow for an affordable price. You can check out our review here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIKVm3pqq518n6c
@masstrapper76456 жыл бұрын
It’s funny how many reviews there are for this product on KZbin. Let’s face it bows from 20 years ago kill just as well. My buddy shot 2 bucks with a old bear compound bow with metal shaft arrows. Both were harvested and brought home. Although it’s nice to have new things they are not really necessary. Learning to shoot correctly is more important than a new bow. I got a Nothing against this particular video.

More weight helps to improve the quietness and deadness of the bows.
@cdp503596 жыл бұрын
@@Buran01 we understand that. But I'm hunting, shooting one shot. It's like hunting with a 45-70. I know it's gonna kick but who cares, I'm not target practicing with it.
@genehalteman8826 жыл бұрын
Buran01 Yeah I do understand that concept. However, I've shot some bows between 3.5-3.9# that were as shock-free and quiet as any I've shot. Hoyt Carbon Spyder, PSE Bow Madness 34 and Strother SR71. Then take, for example, the Prime Logic and the Hoyt Hyperforce, very heavy bows but both loud and vibrate in the hand and still weigh a ton. If all the "theoretical features" that we pay for aren't actually helping practical "shootability" then it's a rip-off.

@@Buran01 so I'm a keyboard warrior because I asked for a carbon Mathews bow? I have the Halon and I love it, but it gets heavy when you are hiking through the woods for 2 miles. @Buran016 жыл бұрын
@@OutdoorsmenLee Weigth has its own advantages, as absorbing vibrations; I doubt Mathews will start a carbon riser facility just to save 300 grams. There's only a couple of carbon bows in the market (PSE's Stealth, Hoyt's RX-3... ) and seems than neither Prime or Mathews are in a hurry to bring up that fad. Hell, PSE isn't even changing the Stealth this yea, and Bowtech, with has some carbon models at weights and prices well below Hyt isn't using the knight frame as the base for their flgship bows (Realm). If those brands aren't moving to carbon is due carbon bows from the competence aren't making a dent in they share. Buy a Carbon Icon if weight is as important to you.

Mathews is a joke, the guys say every year this is the best bla bla, few months later same song and dance. Seems like the development team throw sh!t at the walls to see what's sticks, riser lengths back and forth, over sized cams, that at full draw make the bow taller than 28'.. a joke for your money.

If we thought this was basically the same bow as last year, the video would've been much shorter! The ata is a bit longer, obviously not a big deal, but it's nice to have a little more length to the bow. The Switchweight is great. Adjusting draw weight and letoff is way easier now. And the grip is improved. Feels great in the hand when shooting.
