Even though Cardi B debut album was actually a good project, I knew it was all down hill for the overall quality of music after the Grammys allowed her to win. It’s not just female rap. Music in general has became more about the image and the antics and less about creativity and actual talent.
@urgunnaluvmeh Жыл бұрын
The fact that a rapper (mainly women) can have a team for everything? Someone to pick out their outfits (visual identity), backup dancers and a team that writes for them (the very thing that makes a rapper a RAPPER) and no one cares? Yeah…it was going down hill. That’s why Nicki goes so hard behind her pen. She busted her ass to get people to realize that, that’s all her! No one cares about that these days. It’s sad

She is so wrong bout that! Only hip hop fans say somebody’s too old😂 no other genre of artist does that. If u got u got it, period. Hip Hop is only 50 yrs old so we’re jus seeing that you can rap until you’re 80! Cardi has to collab with others to be seen as credible. Cardi shouldn’t even be considered a rapper jus like Vanilla Ice wasn’t 🙄💪🏾 Plus Cardi threw a shoe at Nicki for no reason! Why would Nicki EVER deal with her?🤦🏾♀️😂

theres so many reasons nicki and cardi didnt "lock in" like that. Cardi B did NOT work nearly as hard from the ground up as Nicki did. Nicki didn't have a platform like love n hip hop & was selling her mixtapes out of the back of her car. Cardi signed a 360 deal which (allegedly) had terms that she was supposed to go against nicki minaj as part of her deal. We know this as 2 different female rappers (Cupcakke [from Chicago] and Lady Leshurr [from England]) were approached by the same label (Atlantic Records) and were each offered 250k to go AGAINST Nicki Minaj. Also, it has been proven time and time again that Cardi B does not write her raps or at least not the majority of them. So if I was Nicki, I wouldn't respect her either! When they did Motorsport, there was a conflict with Cardi and Nicki having the same hairstylists so they couldn't both be on set that day. Nicki knew people would make a fuss if they weren't in the video together and she was right. Cardi and Offset did not tell the truth about the schduling conflict and talked very vaugely and negatively about Nicki after the song. Nicki was all for having Cardi on the song and congratulated her when Bodak Yellow went #1. Nicki stated in an interview that when she approached Offset and asked him to clear the air about that, he said "I would go up for you if you were my girl." A lot of people in the industry are fueled by money and jealousy. Hence why Nicki is so hesitant to work with females because time and time again they end up getting catty towards her when she declines a feature or doesn't do what THEY want her to do. You almost NEVER see these male rappers treating legends that way. That's a lot of the reason why we see Nicki standing on her own because these people in the industry just dont act right!!! She is the only signed (not including independent female rappers) rapper to not be under a 360 deal (which leaves very little control to the artist about their music etc.)
@domh5914 Жыл бұрын
This is not to say she doesn’t like other female rappers. For example: Bia, Doja Cat, and JT of the city girls have been in cahoots with Nicki a lot recently even tho JT used to diss nicki. These girls have proven that they WRITE their own raps & they treat her with genuine respect and treat her like the LEGEND she is. A lot of these other girls think they can just talk to Nicki any type of way and sh!t is sweet. They don’t know how to really respect and treat her the right way. Again, jealousy and money play a big role also a lot of talks and things that go on behind the scenes.
@domh5914 Жыл бұрын
also to finish, Nicki has a relationship with a lot of female rappers that people just decide to neglect… She had DeJ Loaf on tour with her, she’s been seen with Young Ma before and covered a Young Ma song, She’s besties with Foxy Brown & Has worked with & done interviews with Trina & Lady Saw multiple times. At the end of the day, Nicki and Cardi B should not even be compared as they are not in the same category AT ALL. I would classify Cardi as an entertainer at the most. To even mention them in the same sentence is disrespectful to Nicki’s hard work & legacy in my general opinion. This debate / conversation needs to be done once and for all. Thank you if you actually read this lmfao.

NO the f*ck we don't 🥴🤣 LMAOOO How come ya'll demand that an A-list talent, and an actual MC like Nicki Minaj... lower herself to these ghostwritten, low-IQ, ex-strippin, Industry THOTS all the time?? Do ya'll demand that of any males in the game?? Why is Nicki held to a different standard?! I hope she don't do no more charity work for these fake ass Industry Plants no more!! 😤🚫 She don't need them - they need her! They can start being respectful of her icon status or they can GTFOH.

No female rapper beside Trina and foxy showed nicki love. The other girls didn't show nicki any type of love so why does nicki have to do it ?? Yall expect her to go to every rapper and guide them like babies. Yall never expect this from the men. Or even Beyonce and rih. When do y'all see them ever show the girls love ?? They mostly stick to working with men. Beyonce and run never guided Sza,Summer, and other girls but y'all expect nicki to do all that??

Nicki dropped the ball on that one BIG TIME. I remember her being on Breakfast Club and them asking her was she going to sign any new female artists. All these new era chicks (Cardi, City Girls, Lady London, Dream Doll, Kash Doll, Asian Doll, Rubi Rose, Meg, etc) should’ve and more than likely would’ve signed with her just off the respect they had for her alone. In some alternate universe, Nicki did it just like that and ultimately becomes the first female rap billionaire in history smh... 😔
