Watching and digesting all this, what you just witnessed is the steps in the process of accepting things that can happen to you and having the strength to forgive yourself for being powerless to prevent it. Clearly what happened was horrendous. It left a deep wound that seems like it would never heal. Joyner clearly felt comfortable enough to touch on it. And I'm not taking anything away from his struggle. He found a way to channel his fury into something positive and defied the odds. Some people never get there. I hope, for his own sake, that Joyner gets to that point in time. He's a very gifted guy. The hardest person to forgive is always yourself.

He made one mistake but 1 mistake in comparison to a thousand great things he has done. How people can easily forget his greatness and bottle him into one moment in time and one lapse of judgement is sad.
