@TVLubber The Black and White Police (1980 Dodge St. Regis) reminded me of the Classic police shows ADAM-12 (1968-1975) and T.J. Hooker (1982-1986).

I watched this show all the time in like 5th grade! may math teacher would show it to us and we were all obsessed lol. just recently I thought of it but couldn’t think of the name, and the only thing I could remember about the show was “he sounded like a duck” so I looked up math detective shows and found it yay

22:00 - we haven't had much call for mathematicians since "Add 'em up" went off the air. "Add 'em up" was Wellworth Watching's show which was cancelled, which inspired him to rig the ratings system against Mike Pliers.

Those Orange County FM stations might have been the inspiration of this story since KYUCK does not cover entire Los Angeles area. Most AM radio covers quite well.

They were both played by Bob Arbogast. He likely came to this show the sameway as Gerry Owen who did the voice of Dirk Niblick, both of whom had played regular characters on the 1960s tv series Roger Ramjet

They probably used a local 7-Eleven for the location shooting, but changed the name per usual on TV shows (and PBS in particular). They just didn't redress that portion of the set.
