A teacher mostly only does that when the other students are disruptive or the other students does not know the work because they do not do their part or pay attention. Not because the others are smart. A teacher shows interest in students that are willing to do the work and do their part. The only other reasoning outside of what i just said is if they have to complete the syllabus in a particular time and even though some willing persons are trying...Their rate of learning may be still too slow for him/her to complete the syllabus in time, so they are forced to go on. The latter is a sad truth in some Cases, and thats where additional private classes has to be recommended by the tutor or considered by the student. U will know which of the categories you belong to and operate to suit. All the best. From a CXC/CSEC Math Teacher

This is actually a measurement of North Azimuths. Bearings are measured from directly North and South with East and West being used to determine the direction from North and South. A Bearing angle will never be larger than 90 degrees. Example: N65*W or S35*E.

Actually, these are north azimuths he is describing. North azimuths are measured from (or the initial side being zero) the north in a clockwise manner, and can have a magnitude up to 359 degrees-59 minutes-59 seconds. Bearings on the other hand are measured from the North OR South (initial side being zero) towards the east or the west and can have a magnitude of up to 90 degrees. For example, a bearing of North 35 degrees East, is measured from the north being 0, clockwise towards the east a magnitude of 35 degrees. A bearing of South 35 degrees east would be measured from the south being zero, counter-clockwise towards the east a magnitude of 35 degrees. North-west; from the north 0, towards the west 90. Southwest; from the south 0, towards the west 90. If you are also doing latitudes and departures (change in x,change in y) of the bearing angle your right triangle that is formed is drawn by following the directions of the bearing. For instance using his diagram of point O to point A, a northeast bearing would be drawn from the point O north along the y axis, the due north cardinal equivalent of the length of line OA, then to the east the due east cardinal equivalent to point A. That forms a right triangle using the Y axis, and the hypotenuse of the triangle being line OA. Your bearing angle would then be the angle formed by the Y axis,O, A, thus making the Y axis your adjacent side. the north most line from the y axis to point A would be the opposite side. Therefore to find the length of the adjacent side, you would use cosine of the bearing angle multiplied by the length of the hypotenuse(OA), that would give you the change in Y, change in Northing, change in latitude or simply called your latitude from O to A. To find the opposite side, you would use sine of the bearing angle multiplied by the hypotenuse (OA) which would then give you the change in X, change in easting, change in departure or simply called departure from O to A. If one only had the latitude and departure or change in x, change in Y from O to A, using the same triangle, one would use the inverse tangent of change in X divided by change in Y or the opposite over the adjacent. The change in X or change in Y are also called delta's. Delta X, Delta Y.
