9:28 The calculator sees -0.78^2 as -(.78)^2. You must type (-0.78)^2 with the parentheses on the calculator to get the right value and the right sign

1:26 If r = 0.84, it does not make sense to say r = 0.84^2; either square both sides that step or square both sides the next step (like the example with -0.5). :/
